There was a time when I was watching at least 1 film per day. A lot of my friends say I have a passion for film, and that I should make a channel to share my knowledge and expertise. I will mainly do video reviews, but they'll mostly be about lesser known films instead of what's currently in theatres. I might even do a few video essays if I'm feeling ambitious. Get out a pen and paper because I'm gonna review EVERYTHING.

MovieFiendz Review: Time Cut (2024) (toothless, horrible waste of time)
I agree man, this film was like watching fur grow on a tennis ball. It never even begins to grow. I didn't like how the second story was just in the middle and never returned. They didn't even have anything to do with one another. I'm no stranger to slow cinema, Tsai Ming Liang, Chantel Ackerman, Bela Tarr, the difference was it wasn't slow cinematography it was slow reaction time. I liked most of his other films especially Xiao Yu but this one just didn't do anything for me, I'm not exactly sure if the subtitles were accurate though, but I'm not about to go back to find out. You win some you lose some and just move on. I've watched all of his films except for his most recent and I moderately enjoyed them all, none of them would be five star material but I gave this one 2 1/2 stars out of five so around the same ballpark as yourself.
Well done.
I have a problem with horror films featuring military men: they diminish the atmosphere of menace you get when the protagonists are simply unarmed people. Only Day of the Dead kept its claustrophobia intact while showing a military base
@@gianlucamacri1837 what about Dog Soldiers, Aliens, and Jason X?
@moviefiendz found Dog Soldiers a little boring. I know I sound unpopular but Alien it's just not my cup of tea. I watch Jason X too many years ago to remember that movie. In general I prefer films where the threat is really dangerous for the characters, like the werewolf against the boy in Silver Bullet or American Werewolf in London. I don't like horror mixed with action with the only exception of Predator, in which upon closer inspection Swarzy beats the alien more with traps than with weapons
Just watched this, I liked your take on it, it was a hard situation to watch unfold. Also non related but looks like you have a huge collection in the back, nice!
As I grow old nostalgia hits, so I think I'll give this flick a chance. Expecially for the comedian with the sticks in the trailer (can't remember the name) who recently directed for Netflix a late 90's kinda cartoon series. It was a very good show, filled with emotions.
It's kinda funny that this book came out about the same time as the movies Deliverence and Duel. That must have been a popular theme at the time.
❤ I saw this Movie when I was a boy, & Fell Deeply in LOVE with Pam Grier's naked Boobs! I have been Hooked ever since 1973! 😍👍🏾
Great review. One of my favorite films.
I thought it was perfect! Like you aren’t sure at first what happened then you’re like..oh whoa, ok. I would love to see a sequel, or even a mini prequel but of course it may ruin the mystique of it.

i like your content my brother <3
Not a big fan of CE, but I'm always interested in legal thrillers, so I'll give it a chance
The 2007 movie was the best thriller of that decade, this series was interesting, even the movie somehow points in that direction but a lot of doubts concerning the identity of the killer still remains...
The first one was so generic that I don't even remeber if it was a Possession movie or a Ghost Story😂
@@gianlucamacri1837 the sequel ramps up everything to compensate for the first film's blandness
Fright night, Evil dead, American werewolf, Vamp, From dusk till dawn and maybe this one (haven't seen it already)... when a Dark Comedy is filled with Horror for me it's much scarier than horror tout-court!
@@gianlucamacri1837 it might be hard to find, but Spooky Encounters 2 is also pretty darn good. Also Mr. Vampire, its a good time too
@moviefiendz thanks I go searching!
The make up, the camera angles, I wonder if at the time Sam Raimi was able to see these movies and was influenced by that style. Don't know if this cronology was possibile, but if this movie was 78 there is a chance
@@gianlucamacri1837 this movie was actually 1980 so they copied Raimi. I mistakenly said this movie was 1978 but it was released end of 1980
I have this on DVD it's late 90s movie, got it for a dollar at a used record store in my neighborhood were I live.
@@matthewfarmer2520 I felt guilty after Johnny Depp was found to be innocent after being cancelled so I was going through some of his older films

Love your style, you go straight to the point and you are very articulate. Most of the yt reviewers take ages to go to the essence of the review!
I would like to see a list of best vietnamese movies when you watch more of them.
This movie is dreadful Boring rubbish!
A hell of a roller coaster really. There's multiple plot twists. One of the those movies that made me cry like a Child after knowing what happened to Hyujin. I empathize with the father so much. The bullying really broke my heart. I'll give this one a 9 out of 10 movie rating.
It's a matter of taste really. For someone like me who hasn't watched a lot of Chinese thriller drama it was a good movie, the plots within the movie were engaging and had substance. I find that pseudo-movie critiques tend to overlook the integrity and the thought provoking subleties of certain scenes, their ego overshadows open-mindedness as they think they've seen everything and can predict anything. You comparing it to other Chinese movies and looking at it as trend or pattern subjected you to generalize and put this movie in a bubble resulting to a biased and pessimistic review. You didn't even mention a single thing about the acting. I personally think the actors gave justice and life to the characters they portrayed. So I give your movie review a 2.
@@zonezooit2230 I was digging the movie the whole way but the last third tripped on itself with censorship and contrived matters. I give your comment a grabble out of four possible grabbles
I saw this on TCM recently. I really love it!
It's ones the best movie made in america. True sarcasm without newborn politicalcorrect trends. Simple humor for simple people.

I just got done watching this movie and I agree, I had fun and the subversion of the main character was definitely unexpected, but not somethin' I outright hated.
I agree that it had too many YA troupes but I enjoyed it. I wish the ending was different and the prophet was dealt with.
Thanks for the review, will still be getting the Radiance upcoming bluray release
lol great review
2013 has come and gone but the apocalypse didn't come but given the way things are in America it might as well be given who is running the country aside from that where is the armed forces in this
This is in fact *A LOVE STORY* no question about it. The love, the power of friendship between to friends. It is my favorite friendship story by far. Could not disagree more with your review of the film.
Suddenly it became one of my favorite movies all time, even being a very simple movie. The fact that I was unpretensiously choosing a saturday afternoon movie to watch with my widow-mom and it came like an arrow straight into the chest. Maybe the familly core affected me more thant the usual, but the honor that Bobby had to avenge his father making his path to become a cop made me completely satisfied in both human and spiritual senses. Grateful to Jeff Bezos for letting this amazing piece on Amazon's catalogue. Definitely will become a bootleg t-shirt. Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love your reviews and channel, man. Really enjoyed this movie a ton, and glad I caught it in theaters.
In many ways an absolutely wonderful film. A masterpiece!
The book became more interesting as it went on, the characters were likable and I’m glad my judgements about characters were pretty spot on but challenged by events.
I love this movie. Society 1989.
This is an underrated classic. Wonderful actors and seeing current events with that psychopath trump, terrifyingly relevant. Saw it when it aired originally and I was in college. Definitely 9\10 for me.
An underrated classic deserves at least an 8 or 9
