There’s a funny yet lesson learned story behind this video. Actually I got scammed by someone speaks in Thai. He stood nearby Wat Arun and really looked like an ordinary person. Firstly, he asked me something in Thai language and I said I didn’t understand it. Again, this person was not look suspicious at all. Many times Thais speak to me in Thai, so I think it was the usual thing happened to me when I travel to Thailand. He suddenly apologized because he spoke in Thai and switched the language to English. Long story short, he informed me that day is the last day of Big Buddha’s exhibition. He advised that the best way to see the Big Buddha is by long tail boat and he showed me some photos that I can go in front of that temple. The long tail boat cost is THB900/person for 1 hour. He said that I can go to the long tail boat harbour by tuk-tuk. He then told me that the tuk-tuk cost is cheap and he can help to find it for me. I agreed and he stopped the tuk-tuk which passed by. When I arrived at harbour, my gut said that I got scammed because the harbour is small and a bit unusual. Finally, I took the long tail boat and turned out the boat didn’t stop in front of the Big Buddha temple and of course I cannot be dropped off as well. Then I 100000000% sure that I got scammed at that time. Yes, that day was my first time I got scammed when I travel. So please do not underestimate scammers out there! Seriously I always think why people got scammed easily, but please always be careful because they really know how to start into small and harmless conversation. Please be aware everytime you travel and always pray to God for always keeping you safe. The Big Buddha statue is located at Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen and it doesn’t go anywhere :)
