Shocking Techniques to Identify Parasitic Drain on my 1.5JZ IS300
Today were diving into introducing some awesome Power Probe tools and using them to diagnose a parasitic drain in my IS300! With modified cars more often then not there comes extra draw on the ECU from added modules to support extra fuel pumps, fans, etc. I'm learning the best ways to deal with that extra draw and teach you guys everything I learn along the way! Hehe, yep, have done this to many cars over the years. Starter motor needs a few taps with something relatively hefty, just to "unstick" it.
The ole beat the starter before you start kicking on the body panels 😂

You guys don't even know how many times i had to jumpstart by pushing my Opel Kadett E because of a shitty battery, and the fact that im a small man makes it even better.

You need a Panic link ecu/harness! Just saying.. ;)
If your radio fuse has a draw, you should remove the radio and make sure you don't have anything that could be bridging/backfeeding the constant 12v and switched 12v wires there at the radio.
@@VegasAlex702 yep!! That’s next steps.. I did have the trunk open during the operation so I’m gonna check for draw one more time and see if that 60 coming off the ecu will reduce if maybe there’s a module awake because of the trunk… I’ve got some wiring diagrams and all ready so I’ll film the next bit for next week!
That fuse *should* go direct to the stereo so shouldn’t be affecting anything else. Is it a branded headunit or generic Chinese one? Also is the bti screen tapped off that signal at all?
