I believe it's more contextual. The game was never going to maintain numbers even close to that. It course corrected and dropped to what you would kind of expect from a game that looks like this especially an indie one. Arguably in certain locations it could be considered dead but I bought it, downloaded it and 5 minutes later I was in a full 256 player server and played for a few hours on a full server. I don't count that as a dead game personally. It also isn't helpful to put off potential buyers by everyone calling it a dead game. People might miss out on a potentially great game and experience by overly negative coverage calling it a dead game. But ultimately we may just agree to disagree on the terminology.

The same could be said for WH40k: Space Marine 2 tho? From 226k to 13k concurrent players (94% loss in playerbase) in your logic means it's a "dead game" but that ain't true. If there are still a large number of players playing the game, it's not a dead game. No game will ever be able to keep it's peak amount of players past the first few months

@@MrVal3ntine comparing apples to oranges. The difference is that game isn’t dependent on large numbers of players to fill servers. Look at Battlefield 1. Maybe my statistic is a bit reductive but Battlebit is at best dying. Compare to Battlefield 1, still maintaining 3x the players on Steam alone (plus whoever plays from EA launcher). I enjoyed Battlebit but when queues started getting to be longer than Battlefield, I dipped too.

@@NothingWeird-sw6cl you admitted yourself you caught in on a sale. That sale did nothing to boost player count. That one server was more than likely the only full one on the entire game.

Yah I should have added the context in the video and not just the description about us east peak times. So for other areas it might really be considered more accurately a dead game. But I thought dang if everyone reads these comments like I did and pass on buying the game they might miss out on a really fun time like we had!

Yes it was VERY unoptimized my first few games. It's a little better now after a few patches but still has a way to go. Maybe give it another look in a few months and hopefully it will run good enough for you by then!

Where did you read that at? As far as I was aware it's free to play early access and I saw a bunch of RUclips people covering it.

I've been playing with every setting set to high in 4k using DLSS quality mode I have a 4090 I also applied a small amount of sharpening during the edit to see if it helped with clarity after youtube compression. That might be what you're noticing.

Hey thanks! I think it's fair to say Hunt is my favorite right now but I'm really not a fan of the direction it's going recently so we'll see! There's a few I'm looking forward to trying like Arc Raiders, Hunger and Off The Grid. Probably my favorite genre of game currently.

Hah good choice! It's the Logitech G502 X Lightspeed I just got. I was originally using the Razer Basilisk Ultimate and it's a good mouse but the ergonomics on the G502 X are just that little bit better I love it.

I'm not sure exactly what the differences are but probably pretty minor. I believe they changed the clicker part to avoid double clicks too.

I haven't hit any of the stuff like that partially because I don't even know how since it always tells me I don't have enough Koen but also because I play for fun and not necessarily to have the hardest time in game hah hah I'll check it out eventually but not super looking forward to it based on your description!

@@NothingWeird-sw6cl Yeah if you are casual the game is enjoyable. Since game doesn't have skill based matchmaking but rather difficulty modes, just don't play forbidden or lockdown on armory.

I play in hdr and convert to sdr. The games hdr is entirely too dark and for me to see much i had to have gamma up too high I futzed with some other settings though and think I've improved it so hopefully future videos won't look so blown out.

No worries! I even went and checked my recording settings and settings for when I export from the editor but it all looks good so it must just be my Hunt settings

Weird. Post update the only comms experience I had was talking to a streamer duo with bounty in a boss lair then deciding to team because they were cool and had a toxic game last game, so my partner and I tried to get them out. They died though :(

I completely agree. I love the voice work in this but I love the vulgarity and sense of panic in BF3 voices too.

I guess because I'm playing at 4K. They don't do smart scaling it seems so the high resolution makes it small. Even sitting close to my monitor it was hard to see lol

It definitely doesn't happen often which is probably why we found it so funny. But I've loved most of the interactions that I have had. Most folks are just so funny lol

Actually double Romero might be good. No reloading needed if you don't one tap. Just weapon switch but I guess you could just use a pistol.
