About her nose: Some male sea otters are very aggressive when mating with female sea otters. They will drag and hold the females under water, even if those actions drown the females. Male otters will even continue to have intercourse with dead female otters. Just like some male animals will kill their own offspring so they can continue to have sex with their mothers. Nature is just nature.

Great video thank you. Was this at Point Lobos ? You don't remember but met you last year at the Coast Guard Pier while you were filming the otters. Wish you would do more videos , my wife and I always enjoy them.

Thank you for another great footage that captured the fun and inquisitive nature of a sea otter pup. I do have a question. I went to the Navy Pier 2 days ago and found the navy locked the gate to the Navy Pier. Is this permanent? Thanks for all that you do for the environment.
The pier is closed for repairs. They have been working on it this week and if the rains let up it could be open by the end of next week.
