Found a solution for me… hope this helps. Click on your sequence, then go to the top of the screen and click sequence, then sequence settings. At the bottom of the panel there is a box labeled “Composite in Linear Color…” make sure that box is checked. It completely fixed my issue without having to download anything. Hope it helps someone.

Thank you so much for making this video, I was stressing out trying to fix this. I can't believe this problem hasn't been fixed yet.

I went through this, used the gamma lut, then the commercials on TV were TOO saturated and contrast. Come to find out that you never ever want to check your work on an apple computer in Quicktime. Apple computer...fine. Quicktime NO, it changes the color and saturation for NO REASON. Check your work in quicktime AND VLC and a regular TV and you'll find that there is nothing wrong with premiere or your export, Quicktime is lying to you (still don't know why).....think about it, if you have to download a "Quicktime correction LUT) then the problem isn't your file, export, or premiere.........it's quicktime. Why?......reasons. All I know is that the final product on people's TVs (with the correction lut to make it look normal in Quicktime) looked too contrasted and too saturated, the black levels lost lots of detail and the AD looked novice. Ask yourself, "Have I been checking my videos in Quicktime only, or as many players as possible?" "How come Windows based Premiere doesn't export with these issues?" (and I'm a big Mac fan.....except for this problem.......and the incredibly lame search and index that won't find a file that I'm looking at by name.....while I'm looking at it on the desktop....mysteries to the end.) Do yourself a favor, skip the QT correction Lut trip around the sun and check your work in VLC or on a Television without Quicktime......don't touch your color correction, in my opinion the problem isn't there, it's with the QT program that alters the look and then requires a special LUT when none of the other programs do. This is my opinion based on experience, good luck out there.

This doesn't work, at least not anymore. The gamma compensation lut makes the exported video too dark and adds contrast.

I added the Shorts section but none of my shorts show up inside.

Hey guys, I also realised if you're editing with iPhone the footage you might be using HEVC codec instead of H.264. I tried the instructions in the video but still didn't quite get there. But I fixed it by opening the original clip in Quicktime and then saving it from 'Smaller File Size (HEVC)' to 'Greater Compatibility (H.264)' then replaced the file in Premiere. I then had to add some contrast and bring the shadows down to get it to look more like the original clip. Hope this helps!

It would have been good for you to finish the test and remove the backing paper, stick it on something. I just got my samples, and can't for the life of me get the backing paper off. I'm starting to wonder if there is a sticky side covered with backing paper...or if they send the samples without? Surgical touch with an X-acto knife just peels a paper layer off. What gives?

Thanks for this video! How has adobe not fixed this since 2020?!?! I also find the QT Gamma Compensation Lut doesn't do a perfect job. there's still a noticeable desaturation on the oranges and greens of a project I"m working on right now.
