Bonjour. Jai travaillé en suisse en 1986 et une des serveuse (de nationalité suisse) qui, comme moi, était amoureuse de la musique ma fait écouter cet album. Jen suis tombé raide dingue. Malheureusement à l'époque je n'ai pu l'enregistrer que sur une K7 audio qui depuis est épuisée jusqu'à los . Je nai jamais retrouvé cet aobum et voilà qu'aujourd'hui un hasard me tomber sur ton compte youtube. MERCIIIII, je suis juste aux anges. Sais-tu s'il est possible de trouver le LP quelque part ?

Thank you for sharing this. I was given this album by John Lewis (one of the composers) when I was a teenager. I must have listened to it a hundred times back then, and it’s lovely to hear it again.

Back in 1971, in my last couple months of a 4-year hitch in the Navy, I had a friend who mentioned having played for a rock group called Black Pearl; I like the hell out of this '69 album of theirs, and am all but certain the guy's name was Tom, so if my memory serves me well it must have been one of their 3 guitarists, T. Mulcahey...who I seem to remember had just recently joined the navy, so this was his first duty station. Good guy, we got on well. (if all this is legit) we talked rock n roll, but I forget specificsit was 53 years ago after all. We served on an old WW II rust bucket destroyer together, the USS Henderson, out of Long Beach, Ca. harbor I was released from the navy in September, 71...and, in fact, it was Tom and another sailor buddy who literally drove me 120 miles home to San Diego; I should have given the home phone, but didn't, we arrived at my mom's about 2 or 3am, all were asleep, so we hugged, said our good byes,and hey split back to Long Beach for morning call. Funny thing though, the Wiki write-up for Black Pearl doesn't mention Tom (Tommy) ever leaving the band, much less to serve in the USN. in out converstionsHe did mention drugs and burnout, obviously associated with the rock music biz, so if you're still out there, Tommy, I',m William Danford on Facebook.
