I had no idea how to set traps so I just fought the boss like this and won first try lol. I still don’t know what the traps even are that they were talking about. The game really is easy until the difficulty spike at the very end.

At 13:20 the bartender describes O. Dio as "He never slept, they said. Never slept and would never die." Pretty glaring reference to Judge Holden from Blood Meridian, who's an order of magnitude or two scarier than O. Dio. Like, wow.

I like to think that canonically this is probably how the fight with O.Dio went, The Kid and Mad Dog against the entire gang ducking and weaving through the alleyways to stay out of sight of that damn Minigun while picking the Crazy Bunch off one at a time
I like the idea of it, but that also means that everyone at Success was utterly incompetent at setting up traps.

It only affects the cinematics and dialogue once you have finished the final chapter.

That makes sense, why would a “diary” be wearable like armor.
I had to beat this dude 12 times to get the cola bottle which I wont even use because its a cheat item.
This is awesome and kinda annoying at the same time.
The fact that Odeo doesn’t speak for itself, or even make bird noises… really goes to show how indirect a threat it was compared to the other incarnations. The real threat came from that trio of conspirators, who not only speak on Odeo’s behalf during the battle, but did far worse to embody him than any free-acting incarnation did on their own. And up until then, Odeo was little more than an excuse for them to justify their sociopathy.
In the end though, they were nothing more than pawns used by Odio to try to prove his point about humanity in his omnicidal vendetta against them.
Idk the versions of odio for China/japan/modern day were pretty big dicks. Agree with the others, the dinosaur was just hungry, the horse was just remaking what he saw in the war, and the computer system wouldn't have freaked if the crew weren't asshats

I absolutely love it, but the soundtrack on the SNES has a certain Charm, I wish we could use the original Soundtrack.

I kinda don't like that tbh; it doesn't make sense to give non Odio-related bosses the boss theme that has the Odio leitmotif
@@mammothplant the odio leitmotif is another song, megalomania is the boss music
@@TheScholarOfLemons close. leitmotifs aren't songs themselves, they're recurring melodies that show up in them. the odio leitmotif gets used in a lot of this game's tracks; off the top of my head, it shows up in both of the Lord of Dark themes, Megalomania, Pure Odio, and the remake's Gigalomania. 🤓

Nothing changed. The secret came from sparing Mad Dog. Which I already saw Vinny do.

@@SpecialJay525It doesn't seem so. It's just one of the many little secrets the game has. The trophies actually want you to set all the traps

To be fair, it's such an easy fight, and you don't really have much in the way of healing items in this chapter anyway, that there's little reason to bother opening the extra menu to see if Flee can be selected.
First time I fought it, it was frustrating. All the other times, it was kind of fun trying to beat it in the least amount of turns. Also, Cola bottle has 20% chance to drop.
