Aww what cute kitties😻
Great tips!!! I'm just wondering, do you know if Thailand has insects and rodents problems inside condos or homes? If so, is the problem serious, and can easily be solved? Thank you
I did not run into any issues, but I do know that in more rural areas, you will find lizards and scorpions and your common pests. There are pest control companies one could use if needed.
Use "wise"...... simple and easy...
Thank you- we are going to look into this.
@TheGordonFamily11 it's probably the most used for retirement , super easy and quick and exchange rates are nearly always better...
Thumbs up 👍 Gordon’s
What green seasoning do you have on it
Fresh rosemary
❤❤🎉❤❤❤❤🎉
Regarding money transfers, I would highly highly recommend using Wise. You can maintain multiple currency balances and convert your dollars when the exchange rate is best. FX fees and transfer fees into Thailand bank accounts are very low and better than any traditional bank. I pay my monthly rent and school tuition using Wise. You can also use your Wise card in Thailand at any place that accepts Visa. I actually do not maintain a Thai bank account (yet), but my Thai wife has a Thai bank account. If we need cash in Thailand, I fund my wife’s Thai account (via Wise) and then we withdraw cash locally without ATM fees. Good luck with the move!
Can't wait to see your house.👍🇹🇭
Us too!
Sawasdee krub, Hello I cant wait to see your family moving to Thailand.
Thank you! We can't wait to share this journey.
Big Len, were you a chef prior to retirement? Or is cooking your hobby? I make something similar, but never try adding capers. Maybe I will next time.
No chef but the family does watch Chopped on the food network alot. Got to try the capers - it's that secret ingredient you will love.
Delicious
Yummy 🎉
Thumbs Up 👍Gordon Family
I moved from California to Korat Thailand in August 2024 and love it here! Glad you and your family are moving to Bangkok!!
One thing I believe you should know about Thailand and family life and the thai family culture. Please remember do not let money come between you and your family. Cause you are coming to a country that family culture will expect you to help . And they will see you as the rich American and a long with your husband.. but if you don’t give they will stop asking and this will save you a lot of trouble… and the most important thing about Thailand and Thai families, saving face . They won’t even walk into your home if they can’t see you have it better than them … don’t talk about how easy you have it … in America we are ok with hearing that you are doing great… but in Thailand you will make people and family lose face and that isn’t a good thing. I hope the best for you and your family… I been living with my wife in Thailand for 3 years and these are some of the things that I have gone through… my wife is Thai and has a great job and all the time her family would ask for money to the point where should knew she had to tell the no all the time … her mother and father and immediate family never asked for money but all the rest did and this is where you have to look out for … but again I hope the best
Thank you for sharing your insights. My brother and I have been building a healthy relationship for the past 10 years. If I could give him the world, I would with no hesitation, but at the same time he has never asked for anything.
Happy Thanksgiving. Looking forward to you sharing your process of moving from one county to another. We are about to go through that process ourselves, and just the thought is overwhelming. You have good looking kids. They are at the ages that can adapt quickly to different culture.
Welcome back to the motherland, hope everything goes well.
I'm a Gordon, already living in Bangkok. Hi, welcome!
Nice to meet another Gordon!
We moved our family and doggie to Thailand using Qatar airways last year. They took good care of us, including the doggie. No complaints other than the required paperwork and approvals. Good luck with your move. Expect some culture shock when you get to Thailand. Also, I’m sure you know this, but all Thai’s will assume you are local and will speak to you in Thai. Good call on getting your kids Thai passports. We did that for our kids. Makes life so much easier (no need to worry about out immigration, other than your husband’s retirement visa.) 😊
That's wonderful to hear your family has also moved to Thailand. When I was there, the locals did automatically speak Thai to me. I am pretty sure I looked like a deer in headlights. I did respond if I could understand. I'm looking forward to really learning the language in depth as it is a beautiful language. When I was little, I spoke the Thai/Laos dialect in the North, which I lost after my adoption. But all is never lost as u can learn anything if you put your mind to it. Thank you again for watching my video and your feedback.
So cute❤
Thank you. It was fun to make. There will be more fun, easy recipes, and Thai recipes to come on this channel.
Congratulations on your move and your journey thus far. Also congrats to your husband on his retirement. Did you sell everything and made the move? Btw, do you know your sons, as Thai citizens will have conscription obligation? Not sure if you were aware of that.
Thank you for your kind words. Currently in the process of selling everything. My Thai friends did inform me and advised that I enroll them in the cadet program, which will allow them to be exempt from military obligations. I will, of course, research this to get a better understanding.
@@TheGordonFamily11Oh yes, something similar to ROTC program like in the states. Highly recommend that as well.
Indeed an adventurous time in the young lives of children...and what a journey it will be in the land of smiles...you've made the right choice!....
Thank you for your kind words. I am happy to be returning home and we are looking forward to learning about our culture. We hope to make wonderful connections and will do our best to document this journey. We just saw your channel and subscribed. What beautiful land you have.
@ hey Thanks!…and if you’re traveling through the province…feel free to stop by…we’ll leave a light on for ya!
Love your story and excited for your next phase in life. Have a wonderful journey and hope life in Thailand meets your expectations.

Hello Sarah, thank you so much for uploading these videos. I am also an Adoptee from Thailand wanting to obtain my Thai ID and have started the process after watching your videos, they have been very helpful!!! I was hoping you would be able to give me some information on how you went about getting your documents translated from English to Thai and how you got them officially certified. Hoping to hear from you soon :) Sie
