$1,000,000 Historic Mansion in Romeo, Michigan - Is It Worth It?
I heard Judge Smails from Bushwood bought it . He just liked the way it looked .
On another note it’s good to see it’s being renovated ( in my opinion ) it looks more like a CHURCH building than a residential home which is understandable considering it’s history … I’m sure there neighbors are happy it’s FINALLY been sold too !
It’ll be exciting to see how it plays out. I’ll try to keep everyone informed as I find out any new information about the sale.
GLAD to know it’s been purchased… and hopefully THIS time the renovation will be completed up to the standards that it had when originally built and be enjoyed for MANY DECADES by it’s NEW OWNERS as a SINGLE FAMILY MANSION No bed and breakfast as I don’t think that would be allowed in that community
This house is a monument to an old Catholic world. That mansion was built with the 5-cent contributions of Catholic laundresses and housekeepers. And you know what? They would have been HAPPY that their bishop lived in that mansion. But Catholics have come a long way since then........
It's difficult to concentrate beyond the earrings and eyebrows.
That’s okay, we don’t need people who make comments like that in this community 😉
I really wanted to watch your video but your weirdo ear piercings and bizarre voice turned me off. Good luck on the next one.
This video is amazing and extremely interesting loved looking at that old mansion!
Your to kind. I watched it! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas 😆🎄 I do appreciate it. I get stereotyped often but I swear I’m a nice guy 😆
Whoa. I've never heard of this mansion.
It’s absolutely incredible. Do you happen to be from Michigan?
For a full walk through check out Paul Wolfert's video ruclips.net/video/cHRiCgA307c/видео.html
Obglitary first comment! I actually did know about the pool. I can't imagine running a country while suffering through polio like that.
It’s always so exciting putting these together and uncovering the incredible stories behind each property! Briefings from the pool sounds wild.
You look like you told an AI a prompt and recited it while doing cocaine
And you seem like someone who just created a RUclips account last week to troll. Thanks for stopping by, though!
Why does the description say finished basement and detached garage, but the video says PARTIALLY finished basement and NO garage? Who would actually want to live in Detroit? Why do you look like a low rent Steve-o? What in the hell is that crap in your ears? Is this for real or just a comedy skit?
A simple oversight on my part. Copy and paste isn’t always your friend. Thanks for the heads up. Have a great day!
Love Detroit! Go Lions!
Go Lions!!!
Cool video dude.
Thank you
Despite having been there a few times, I never knew about the tunnel. Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome. It was fun digging into it. Loved its story. 🖤
Talk into the mike. It sounds like your talking from another room
This one’s an older video of mine but it was filmed with the use of a rather nice mic in a studio. I haven’t had any other complaints about the audio on this one though🤔
I'd love to hear about the Utica Indiana castle, or at least what's left of it. It's true forgotten history.
Is it the one known as the “Witches Castle”?
@Historylovescompany that's the one
Hmm, sounds like an interesting future video. Stay tuned and I’ll throw it in the queue.
I ended up throwing this together The Haunted Secrets of Indiana's Witches’ Castle Revealed ruclips.net/video/HK-b05njB5M/видео.html
@@Historylovescompany sweet, thanks a ton
Yo I need to go check this out sounds sick 🤘
They do ghost tours on Fridays I believe.
One year later the same $439k gets you far less. Prices are nuts.
This one was 2 years ago now and you’re absolutely correct today it would likely sell close to $500k.
I vote to restore it!!! So much potential what a beautiful diamond in the rough.❤ No more McMansions!! Ugh!
Dude i wish you would be a man of your word and reply back potential clients. You burned a big bridge by not being professional.
I try my best to reply to all the comments I receive. Did you attempt to reach me?
My business line is 248 568 6030. If I do not answer please leave a message to ensure that I return your call.
I see this all ending badly. Politics and management have always been the achilles heel of any Pontiac project. I don't think anyone in Pontiac government has a clue what the repair bill and maintenance costs will be for the Phoenix Center project. As with any city, maintenance is an after thought. Monies need to be baked into budgets as the projects are conceived.
😒
I wish this house could talk! Theres still so much this house offers to be restored to its grandeur. 😊
I’ve got 2 more coming as well. Filmed 3 tours the day I did this one. Theres a beautiful tour in the Arden Park Historic District as well as one on Ferry St. that’s down to the studs.
Whats up with the wood table in the one room? It has all kinds of stuff on it
Just building materials and such that were left behind.
@@Historylovescompany the table looks like it would make a nice project
Ive tried to watch this twice i cant get over this guy......😮 not watching
So you’ve come to my channel to complain about me? Interesting…
@ChrisHubel no I found it ,was watching and then I commented
Why this guy yelling?
Just to make sure you can hear me. You could turn your volume down…
🥰 I'm in love love love! This house is freaking awesome! There's so much character and potential! I haven't seen a house this age with such strong solid bones! Don't build them like this anymore. If only I was independently wealthy. 🤑
It was an honor to walk amongst its floors 🏡
Cold 🥶 Michigan Winter, that house will be drafty 😮
i love you
I love you too Kit.
Yikes 😅
Good content! You can tell you were raised by a single mother!
Interesting comment. Why do you say that?
Plus you have a feminine name which seems your mom wan t ed a girl!
Feminine is in eh!
Your ears look stupid!
I try to go here once a month and I still haven't covered half of it! I'm there to update some find a grave pages for the residents who are resting there! If you ever see a ginger with a Mutt helping her, we love to chat about the history there
I’ll be sure to say hi if I see ya strolling through 😊
another pontiac wet dream,,,like everything else the city touched,,,it took a dump
Unfortunately you’re not wrong but hopefully they get it right this time around. Seems as though things are heading in the right direction for the city.
@@Historylovescompany I sincerely hope so,,,,born and raised there but had to leave,,,,or they ran me out,,,,take your pick
back in the day on a warm summer night we would jump the fence and sit on the highest point and smoke some funny stuff and watch the world go by,,,,great memories in fond memory of the Big E,,,miss you buddy
Sounds like you guys had some great nights here. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Nice little cozy starter home for a couple, a small family, or a single person. The yard holds so much potential! Take care, Chris!
Nothing more ironic than naming a racially restricted neighborhood after an indigenous tribe (that's not even from Michigan). 😂
Racially restricted? I’m sorry but this is false information. There are fair housing laws that keep that from being possible today.
I would love to see the inside of this church! Can you give us a tour? This church looks like the original church built by the Irish and German folk where I grew up in Southern Ontario, Canada. After burning down on New Year's Day 1913 it was rebuilt with a similar look but a modern span that did not require rows of pillars for support. For a look at the evolution to a more "modern" church architecture, see ruclips.net/video/SaQPUhAQvdY/видео.html By the way, the crops in the background are tobacco and ginseng. Also, I would not be surprised if the same manufacturer made the bell in both churches.
That is gigantic
I can tell you put time and effort into these
I’m pretty passionate about them. Thank you.
Lol I live in this street
That is so cool I never knew Pontiac had an outdoor amphitheater
I was hoping what was going on with the Phoenix Center? I hope they renovate it because that would really help revitalize that area of Pontiac
It seems likely that the area will be cleared and converted into green space. Additionally, plans for extending Woodward Avenue through downtown are expected to bring new energy and vibrancy to the area.
@@Historylovescompany oh cool!! Hopefully they will keep that amphitheater because that will be a great asset to the downtown area. We have something like that up in the Greater Flint Area but not specifically in the City of Flint
@@Historylovescompany believe it when I see it,,,,the ones who actually run the city have no clue
Love Pontiac so much better than Flint
I most certainly agree. Excited to see what the future has in store.
I actually really enjoyed this
Thank you. I’m super happy to hear that.
Do a video about the farms or the north projects because I go to the north projects every day and I got to say you gotta watch your back
