Purdue Guide - Tips & Tricks For Student Success!
Просмотров 12 тыс.4 года назад
I graduated from Purdue in 2019, and have missed it so much ever since! Instead of wallowing about it and being sad, I decided to redirect my energy towards creating this guide. In it, I give my advice for anyone who goes to Purdue - or is thinking about going there. I give tips on how to have a healthy life as a college student and succeed in school, because lets face it: Starting college can ...
How was it all so green? I thought in autumn it gets more with the red colours. Beautiful video ❤
@@maria-cristianamarcus2326 that’s what I thought too 😅 it turns out fall colors don’t start until after October I guess? I wish I could have seen them
Love your carry-on, where did you get it? Greetings from France😊
@@lirazel2001 Thanks for watching! The suitcase is from Monos! And the other green bag I used as a carry on says Salon de Ruban
@@baileyvanmatre4274 Thank you, seems it is from Japan.
@@lirazel2001 Yes, I bought the cloth bag in Japan. I needed an extra bag last minute!
Amazing video and breathtaking scenery 🫶🏾💚New subscriber here

@@brinnyful Yeah basically! Lol The big suitcase was full of my shopping, but still underweight 👍🏻
I love the deers in nara 😍
@@atripx I wish I spent more time there!
What time of the year was this for?
October! The weather was 60-70 F
Makes me want to go back to Thailand. Been too long. Hope you had fun in Japan!
Very helpful. My daughter will be FYE this Fall. We are very excited.
Is it true all the beaches in Rincon have high tides during February?
Possibly.. I was there again last week and we had high tides!
how old r u

Found this a little late (not really little 😅) but extremely useful tips. Thanks a lot
I’m so happy to help ❤️
What brand suitcase 🧳 s that
The green is a Monos suitcase! The big purple one is Travelpro
Wait......1 pair of jeans for your husband???
Yep 😂 he wore comfortable pants on the plane, so 2 pairs of pants total. He’s not a fashion-guy lol
Love that you packed the carry-on case in the checked bag. Great idea if you plan to do lots of shopping.
I thought about it for a LONG time! how can I leave with more bags than I came with? 😂
Great packing 😃
#girlmath Nice packing! I think that's a good amount of clothes, even if you don't buy a new wardrobe while in Japan. 😉
It ended up being perfect for 2 weeks! I even had one shirt I didn’t wear.
This is calming❤Thank you for the reminder to take things slowly
¡Nice! Part of the video is on Rincón P.R., my hometown. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. I am from Rincón and also a youtuber. I have few videos talking about my home town.
Awesome video ❤️ I guess that must be the new Polaroid camera. I'm getting one❤️
Thanks so much! The camera is called a Polaroid snap, it’s kinda old but it’s very fun and I recommend!
Thank you so much for the video! It was an amazing one! So, from what I have been told so far about PU that it is very difficult and challenging. Is it for the top students only? How do students survive there? It is been so many years since I graduated from high school and I plan to go to PU for my electrical engineering (BS)
I think that if you’re an adult, you’ll have no problem taking it seriously and therefore do very well! 👍🏻 Engineering is a more difficult major, but that’s because the education is very high quality. You’ll do great!
@@baileyvanmatre4274 thank you!
Beautiful video😂❤ ty...I'm moving to Rincon very soon.nice to see.
very insightful, thanks
We were in the Aguadilla area in February! Rented a family beach house, we had a great time. Lots of good food, people were great and the beach was fabulous!
I’ve never stayed there before! Rincón is known for surfing, what about Aguadilla?
@@baileyvanmatre4274 Locals were surfing right outside our beach house. Rompeolas Beach. Was an awesome trip!
Beautiful way of showing this gorgeous paradise island of the Caribbean
Thank you! Such a beautiful and relaxing place
Thanks, my hometown. Nice to know that people think like that of Rincón
What’s the name of that camera?
It’s called a Polaroid snap!
Hi! Thank you sm for this video; I'm currently deciding between purdue and another state school so this was super helpful! I just had a question tho, I don't know if you mentioned it and I missed it, but what was your major in purdue? I'm planning on doing engineering and I'm a bit scared abt the rigor and hw load. Thank you!
I’m so glad I could help!! I majored in psychology and my partner majored in computer science, so those are they only majors I have direct experience with. My roommate was an engineering major, and I know she dedicated a lot of time to studying. However I know it was made easier because of the strong community within the engineering major! While the coursework is rigorous, making friends to study with makes it a lot easier. It’s also important to remember that as you get older, you will grow and be capable of doing so much more than you ever could in HS. My ability to study and do work in HS was basically 10% of the capacity I would have after just a year in college. You’ll really be capable of a lot!!
awesome and beautiful!
Thank-u for visiting the isla of encanto wow the food looks delicious hope u enjoy it thank-u nice video.
Puerto Rico is beautiful! I will be back!
ive every place you were at….except that first restaurant in old town….i loved rincon….great life there….my favorite was domes beach because i surfed a lot there

Thanks a lot for the advice, It was so helpful, Legit the best video I've seen on college advice, especially in regards to Purdue.👍
This is a random comment but the lights flicker because those lights operate under AC or alternating current and the frequency of the lights isn’t aligned with the fps of the camera
Wow! Incredible thank you! I am graduating and heading off to Purdue next semester. I’ve been doing a lot of research on Purdue and your video is one of the best I’ve seen! I do have a couple questions and things I’m concerned about. Also a little nervous. But I’m very excited!
Thank you!! I’m so excited for you to start at Purdue! There’s so many new cool things there now. Please feel free to email me or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions!! :)
I’m headed to Purdue for engineering class of 26, I appreciate the video
I'm so glad to hear that! Feel free to email me or DM me on instagram if you need any more advice about Purdue!
A late reply from me lol. Hi, How are you? I have also applied to study abroad there. Do you mind me asking, you a few questions about your experience? Did you pay for airfare yourself? Why did you have to live at the hotel first before you move into the dorm? And finally, luggage-wise. How much to bring to live in the country for a semester? My apologies if I bombarded you with questions. Just very curious and I love your video. Thank you!
No problem at all! Yes I payed for my own airfare, but I wonder if there are ways to get some kind of help with that. You could ask your advisor about that. I bought a one way ticket there since I didn't know when I planned on leaving, and then bought a ticket home about a month before I left japan. I don't really recommend this as it was expensive lol. I stayed in a hotel the first night because of the way my flight lined up with the buses to Tsukuba. There are maybe 2 bus times you can choose from where your japanese tutor will meet you and help you get set up. I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough time to get off the plane and make one of those busses, so I chose to stay in a hotel and take the bus the next morning. Luggage wise, I brought a very large checked bag, a carry on suitcase, and a backpack. I'd love to talk to you more about it, feel free to find my instagram @spookybebe and send me a message!
A parent saying thank you!
This is so helpful for my daughter graduating high school soon, you did a great job!
Thank you!! That is so great to hear :)
Your video just randomly came in my recommendations as I was watching vlogs about Japan. It was so calming and I’ll definitely check out more of your content. You got a new subscriber! :)

It was just a regular ticket! Because it was an overnight flight they served dinner, tea, midnight snack, and breakfast!
@@baileyvanmatre4274 oh wow! I was just shocked because I’ve never flown delta internationally so I didn’t know they offered such a great spread!
