By combining the eligible 4 stars and standard 5 star characters, you can barely get enough characters to challenge visionary mode. Would recommend prioritizing companion events early and choosing weaker characters to conserve the vigor of the strong members of the starting cast (Xiangling, Emilie, Mualani).
