can u make a liquid version of it? for example melt salt in warm water, add baking soda and conditioner?

@Ruby Ranch - Homestead In The Forest I've noticed so many ppl refer to the effects of baking soda as "irritation" but it's actually a yeast overgrowth, or yeast infection. Baking soda kills bacteria. Bacteria is what causes body odor, so that's why it works for deodorant. However, the bacteria actually eats yeast (fungus) thereby keeping it under control. When you kill off too much of the bacteria, the yeast/fungus gets out of control and you get redness, and itching. Not everyone experiences itching, but you can still have a yeast infection even if you don't have "symptoms". It's all about pH. When I was looking into this, I was shocked to see pictures of what it can look like going unchecked for a long time, even years. There are women who use straight baking soda and think it's just awesome while their underarms get deep red (almost purple) and leathery, but because it's not itchy they believe that they're just fine. Meanwhile, the yeast takes such hold. Yeast should never be taken lightly. These infections can lead to systemic fungal infection, and there's evidence that it could be connected to cancer. Either way, it's a nasty thing that causes havoc and when the infection is too embedded can be impossible to get rid of completely. Just wanted to clear up the "irritation" fallacy because it's so much more serious than that and too many people think the itch is just because of an irritant. I believe Diatomaceous Earth is another option and one I plan on trying. I myself make a roll-on magnesium deodorant but I'm always interested in deodorant recipes and want to experiment more. Hope this is helpful. I like the consistency of your mixture but I'm better with measurements. I would warn against the baking soda in your powder recipe as well, but wanted to thank you for the inspiration on that one - I'm going to try the marshmallow powder in mine. Sounds like an awesome addition! Tfs :-)

8 c Epsom salt 1c baking 60 drops of essential oil

Peppermint oil on cotton will run them off! They don't like the smell! Everytime someone moves out around here i get mice. I put out mothballs as well. But peppermint oil several drops i dont count but i put a few on a ball n drop in vents and put in corners of rooms n closets!! I also through mothballs uunder my trailer. Snakes dont like mothballs either. This oul has help me several times. I live by it. Again you can use teatree oil r any oil that is strong. I just like peppermint. We even burn it in the warmers when we have a problem n around Christmas. They just dont like a strong scent.

In place of Epsom Salt if we have hard water, could we use fine grain sea salt?

Epsom salt is bad in the washing machine, you need rock salt

Love to tell you what to do but, we had a lot of mice because house was falling down around us. I put out everything I could think of, got 30 of the little suckers. Was going thur cancer treatment at time and not working, well finally thought I got them all using traps ( don't use glue ones) I felt so bad using them. When all of a sudden these little mice with there eyes closed, came out from under my dishwasher. I felt so bad because I knew I had killed all of the adults. I then took all the babies and put them in an old fish tank and raised them until they were grown and eating on there own and the released them into the forest. I know, I know but I couldn't kill the babies, I already felt bad about killing the big ones. Sorry no help!

You are absolutely right about the vinegar smell. This is much better. It softens as well.
