TLA is the Texas Locksmiths Association, and they held a lock pick competition the last couple of years and Lockjaw MFG. took it over last year and killed it! So a lot of people are now preparing for next year to see what happens.✌️💜🤙

That's who it was. I remember seeing you talk about it on a live but couldn't remember who. The 100-year master is fun, but it's very similar in my opinion to a master No1. Maybe that should be my next one. My guess is that's what they did was put a No1 inside a pretty cover. Thanks for the kind words, LL!🤙💜✌️

I think that if Master Lock had done something similar to the Abus anniversary lock, it would not be as bad as it is. The body weather cover is what really makes it a pain. The cover gets in the way of rotation for the core and doesn't allow the shackle to pop open really a letdown, I agree. The Abus is just spools. I feel if they had tossed in one serrated pin, it would have made it that much better. All in all, two decent locks to learn spool picking from, though.🤙💜✌️

I agree the Abus is like ice. You can feel everything in it. It's almost to the point of wondering how high it will get ranked once it gets to that point. For my Master Lock Core, it's just about like yours than. Lots for wiggle room for pins to drop back out.✌️💜🤙

I was hoping it wasn't that bad... my stations is now on the other side of the basement. Hopefully, it cuts out other noise. It does have a nice rhythm, though hahaha.🤙💜✌️

Yes, it is! So, in the States, they send the Schlage core(or at least what I've seen). Sandman had mentioned in his video that you kind of have to do a bit of online stuff to get the yale keyway over here. Nevertheless, I'm excited to hear that!! Now I can't wait to do the comparison.🤙💜✌️

​@@LockPickingHippieif the pin often gets stuck half way as the core counter rotates, it might be a sign that your hook is too short or you are not pushing it high enough. I was picking some Abus locks recently and I learned a lot about the small spool pins these locks have and how they behave. One thing I learned pretty well is: when to swap for deeper hooks. I find the 72/40 and the 80ti to be the best locks with spools inside. They are just so much fun to play with.

So, this is a great question. This is my first time with these locks as well. I'm not quite sure. What i found is no, not the same. The 74/40 is the little brother to the Brady security wise. Everyone has different picking preferences, so I'm sure people will disagree. This is just what I found in my research. I will get a Brady to do a comparison, though.
