My seventh and final fight of the event. Fluorine was fixed very quickly after the last fight, and was ready for grudge matches. BFFIG Fight 6: Fluorine vs Gumbo... again

My sixth fight of the event. This was another rematch, this time against Gumbo. My goal was to avoid his front to prevent the motor shaft from shearing again. I managed this for 20ish seconds before I oversteered and we hit weapon to weapon. My shaft sheared again and I again tapped out. This gave me third place.

My fifth fight of the event. This was technically a rematch against Mr Breeze from my last event since the driver was the same. My plan was to try and keep my weapon facing him at all times and try and hit a weak spot. After a few shots, I disabled one side of drive. Then I ripped off the wheel on the other side. This made Erratic tap out, giving me the win, and a guaranteed third place finish.

My fourth fight of the event, this one was a rematch from day 1. This fight was a lot harder than the first one, I kept driving into walls and oversteering, which let CD get a pin on me. I was able to disable their flipper, but ended the fight being pinned again. I somehow won via a judges decision, probably because of the damage I had done.

My third fight of the event. I was feeling good going into this fight, since I had prepped a replacement motor in case I lost one here. After some small spin up issues due to some attempted last minute reprogramming, I landed a few good hits on Gumbo before he landed a massive one on the weapon. My second fight of the event. This one was against an undercutter. I wasn't too worried about this fight since there isn't much on Fluorine that could be hit by his blade. This fight was really straightforward, I removed the wheel guards quickly before disabling one side of drive, causing biscuit to tapout.

My first fight of the event. My plan for this fight was to try and hit him in the sides and kill the drive. I did pretty well at the start before I was flipped over and struggled to adjust for a bit. Cheesy Destruction took advantage with a few pins. Eventually I was able to rip off the flipper and damage a side of drive, letting Fluorine win by tapout.

Ok I just realized there are a few times during the stream where it goes completely black. I think this is due to me switching from the screen capture to just showing my webcam view. Anyway, here are the timestamps for when the black periods are so you can skip them. 9:36 to 12:09 22:36 to 23:41 32:48 to 37:39 40:25 to 45:40

So the reason the robot started having drive issues near the end of the fight was because the battery was running really low. The battery I was using at the time only had 300 mAH. I didn't realize this could be a problem because I had never either run the robot for a full 2 minutes or I wasn't using that much power during a fight. Around this time I had upgraded both the weapon and drive motors to ones that used more power. This combined with this fight lasting a full 2 minutes finally started to push the battery to its' limits. I only realized this problem a few days before the Tallahassee event, so I rush ordered a new 450 mAH battery, and that seemed to solve the low power issue.

It's all good, I hope to do more of these in the future so you can catch one of those ones. Who knows? Maybe one day we can do one of these together!

@@CylitheraGreywolf I'd have to say it was my fight(s) against Mr Breeze. The weapon on it is very destructive and is not at a good height for me.

Congratulations on you 1st place finish. I thought I had a broken battery wire from wespon penetration into body. When I got home snd pulled cover off there was no penetration thru the inner wall and no broken or cut wire that I could see. I did not investigate any futher but will when I have time. The 2 fights with Flourine were brutal as was the fight with Tyrone.. I will "Build Back Better" and " Make Mr Breeze Great Again" 😂
I look forward to seeing Mr. Breeze again and getting the chance to have another rematch! I hope you are able to figure out what went wrong in this fight that caused the bot to die.
@@derincattelane43 Derin, I just found the problem.. The one piece XT30 to JST adapter between battery and switch broke, I could not see the break under the shrink tube..it was a $2 part.. Easy fix, wish I knew about it before our second and final fight. I'm glad we got to fight and get to know each other a bit.

Should also note that Swamp Thing/Raging Scotsman is not the first fight of the event. Bullion/Stink Eye was. Stink Eye won by KO after getting on the side of Bullion and landing a blow that immobilized it.
