Its been at least five years since I've sung this but I still so regularly think about it, it is an absolutely gorgeous arrangement. My voice has definitely transformed from a S2 voice to an A2 voice so I wouldn't be on the same part but I know it would feel just as powerful to sing. Again, amazing job!

Great performance, I absolutely love the work of Dr. Powell! (Doing "Get Busy" with my own chorus right now, actually). However, the person filming might have done better to take out all the applause and the "That was weird" comment at the beginning...

This song has been sitting in my choir folder for a while now. We're learning a crap ton of songs right now. I decided to search this one up, and I LOVE this recording! First time listening to it or learning it. The soloist at the beginning could be on broadway.

I sang this at my all city last year and I could swear it changed my life. The conductor changed it o us but surprised all of us because he said we weren’t singing Still I rise but we ended up singing it. It’s a very beautiful song and I really just love it.

Me and my school choir did this last year and it was so fun plus I’m an alto but I got to sing soprano on this I was able to hit those notes so it has special place in my heart

This is absolutely lovely, a consummate arrangement and expertly and beautifully sung and recorded by Hunter Street Baptist church. Oh that we had church choirs like that in the UK.
