Adventure - an unusual and exciting or daring experience.
Very little knowledge, no plan or destination... I'm off on an adventure!
Not one for writing a journal, I found a better way of documenting my random adventures. Whether scaling Crib Goch in Snowdonia, getting lost on a gentle stroll through the Cotswolds with friends or overnight camping in the wild, if it's outdoors, I'm there.
Check out the playlists, where you’ll find the adventures split into day trips, wild camping adventures, special challenges (like the Welsh 3000) and my brand new Find Your Wild Series.
Find Your Wild is a beginners adventure masterclass to help get you out and enjoy your wild side!

SKIDDAW | Lake District WILD CAMPING
Back out in the Lake District heading up the fourth highest peak in the region, Skiddaw. This time, I’m not alone.
Ticking off a few more peaks, we soak in the sights (and the howling wind) from one of the highest points in England.

MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE | Welsh P600s | Aran Fawdwwy
Просмотров 79Месяц назад
No mountain is easy to climb, but how hard is it really? Some say it depends on how tall the mountain is, but the really what they mean, is how prominent is it. Once you're up in the peaks, it can be very easy going to link up multiple peaks, but the greater the prominence a peak has, the more climbing you'll have to do to reach the summit. The P600s is a list of mountains in the British Isles ...

5 months since my last proper adventure is just unacceptable. What better reintroduction into mountains is there than finding a technically easy scramble with great exposure with and added in some dramatic weather. A new route in a familiar valley. I've spent a fair few nights calling the Ogwen valley and its surrounding mountains my home, but never had I considered going along Y Gribbin till t...

Never have enough time for an adventure? I've had that feeling a lot, moving in to full time van life, health issues, working full-time and starting a business has meant adventuring has had to be put on hold for a while. So when a Friday afternoon meeting got cancelled, I quickly hopped in the van and drove to the nearest river. Potentially the laziest adventure you'll find on my channel (serio...

Great camp mate! Really enjoyed that, stunning drone footage! New sub from us👏🏻
Thanks for the sub! That drones worth its weight in gold… mainly because it’s tiny and weighs nothing haha
@ yeah we recently bought a drone for our videos and absolutely love the footage it gives, well worth it!
Great adventure, great video editing too, loved the drone footage. You picked up another subscriber, also from a fellow RUclipsr. Shame about the wind, keep up the good work. 👍
Awesome, thank you! I’ve seen a fair few of your vids now, great channel 🙌
Great video, love the editing, your smashing it. Just subscribed from a fellow RUclipsr 😉👍
Thank you so much 😁 I’ll have to check your channel out. Wild camp in the mountains = 2 days… putting the vid together = 3 weeks 😂, great way to enjoy the adventure for longer though
Really enjoyed this, great music and cinematography too. Subscribing to see more and grab cheeky ideas for my own vids!
Thanks mate, went way harder on the music than I needed too but was fun putting together!
Great spot for a wild camp, total respect for the effort taken to produce a piece of art, liked and subbed from a fellow creator, chin chin
Thanks buddy, I’ll have to check out some of your content! So much more effort doing the editing, climbing the mountain is the easy bit eh! 😂
@mr_adventures Spot on🫡
Great video, really enjoyed it. Definitely one to add to the “to do list”. We look forward to seeing more of your adventures! Liked 👍🏼 and subscribed from a fellow RUclipsr 👌
Definitely add it to the list, there were quite a few good looking routes up to Skiddaw.
Dora's strange father seems quite easy going.
He's good company, I'll give him that haha
I found an amazing life. All I did was put one foot in front of the other
Walk the journey. Its already set out for all of us.
Stunning views. Handsdown fav adventure channel.
Thank you so much! Always appreciate your support!
Wool base layers don't make you sweat loads, lightweight merino wool base layers are renowned for their heat regulating properties, it's one of the main reasons merino base layers are so popular and they don't get smelly on multi day treks like synthetic base layers tend to, I use merino and synthetic, pure merino's only real drawback is it's not very durable but there are plenty of hybrid merino/synthetic mix base layers these days, I've been a fell runner in Snowdonia for decades so loved the old HH dry base layers which used to be seen all over the hills, they were great and I still have a couple but they get really smelly on multi day hikes, go back several 100 years and in Spain exporting merino sheep was punishable by death as the wool they produced was so highly sought after, lol sorry just a merino wool fanboy! 😁 Nice vid, I've done it several times over the years, my biggest tip would be, when approaching Foel Fras trig point at the end, look out for a spike of rock about 70m SW of it on that same plateau of scattered rocks, that's the actual summit of Foel Fras, not many people are aware that they built the trig away from the actual summit, but if you go to the actual summit you can then boast you're one of the few people who has done the real Welsh 3000's! 🤣 This is the grid reference of the actual summit SH 69614 68122, I always figured the actual summit is such a beautiful spike of natural rock sticking out of the ground that they didn't want to disturb it or build on top of it, that or they just made a mistake!
Thanks for pointing that out, I actually meant to say cotton not wool. Merino wool is a life saver and I swear by it! I’ll have to go back to Foel Fras to have a look for the true summit 🙌
Lovely vid, keep it up
Thanks, I’ll do me best! ☺️
I grew up in the Brecon Beacons and did my first hike in on Mt Snowdonia in 1966 via the pyg track.. Today's hikers are all me me social media assholes..
How many people were on Snowdon in 1966? And I disagree, I’ve met lots hikers who aren’t social media assholes ☺️
that whole place looks amazing. I am not so adventurous as this, but I am sure glad you are so that I can just watch along.
Only reason I film them is to bring others a long so very happy you decided to join me on this one 🙌
the word you're looking for is trepidations - it means to be a little bit scared and little bit excited - the more you know eh?
What a fantastic word, definitely should’ve used that haha
I Love this!
That water is like glass! Thanks for sharing the wee break.
I was hoping the current would drift me all the way back but think I preferred the water being this still 😂
Really enjoy your interesting and inspiring videos. Excellent content, great footage etc.
Cheers Patrick! Interesting was what I was aiming for, inspiring is a much welcome added bonus ☺️
Excellent 👍
Cheers buddy!
You should be really proud of this video and the amount of work you’ve put in to it. Not only the editing but the messages too. I could definitely learn a lot from this one. Particularly the chapters on resilience and discomfort. I watched this at the right point in my life and I hope I continue to carry these lessons as I move in to my next chapter. Well done again. Looking forward to seeing what comes next. Ps let’s go to the Brecons soon
Nothing wrong with discomfort or “bad” times. They’re just the gaps in between the good stuff ☺️
Awesome video, perfect thing to do to keep your mind in a good place👌👍👍
Couldn’t agree more!
This was a deeply reflective journey for me to watch. Aside from being breath-taking scenery, it has made me think of the comfort I've built in my life and what I hope to get out of it. As I've turned 40, I've found it harder to connect with people but easier to connect with the things I love. Maybe that's normal, maybe the contentedness you feel from your own journey is more rewarding than what you try to get with other people. Then again still the rarity of connection with other people at this age maybe makes it that much more valuable for its rarity. Whatever your return to the real world brings you, thanks for sharing the meditations. I'll try to find the uncomfortable thing that brings me the same opportunity to reflect.
Thanks for sharing. Connecting with others is important but means so much more if you can find that connection with yourself. It means a lot to know this video got you thinking! Hope you have fun finding your “comfortably uncomfortable”
Another great video. It reminds me that I need to go on an adventure (how that happens I have no idea). As a person who has been dealing with severe mental health issues for the last few years I know how important it is to take time out and take care of yourself. Thanks again for making such an epic video. Take care my friend.
Cheers mate! For me, an adventure is any new experience where the journey far outweighs the destination. Adventures can be found everywhere, and when the outcome/destination stops being the focus, the journey suddenly becomes a beautiful story. Look after yourself buddy and have fun whilst you’re doing it 💪
Great banter boys😎. But you have to go back for Redemption?😂. 1. So all three of you can complete it 2. The challenges is to climb up and down the three highest mountains in 24 hours! 3. I will watch the video❤😂. I'm doing it with a mate this weekend I've just been watching some Videos to familiarise myself with the mountains. Oh and great effort 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Completely agree, rude of them to leave me quarter of the way up Scafell really haha! I can understand why people love timed challenges like this one, but I prefer adventuring slowly (1. so I can stop and look around and 2. stops me chucking me guts up). How did you get on with your 3 peaks??
Did you finish the challenge at the top of Snowdon? Do you not have to get back to the bottom to complete the challenge then?
Yeah we finished at the top. I’ve seen lots of different variations on this challenge, some start the clock at the top of Nevis, others include the first climb and the run down Snowdon 🤷♂️. The real question is, what counts as the bottom of the mountain? The best thing about adventure challenges is you can make it your own.
I'm always a bit shocked at how few subscribers you have. Your videos are so well produced, the music is suitable without being overbearing and I'm jelly of your beard.
Thank you mate! Seriously appreciate the recognition for the editing side of things, I love the production almost as much as I love the adventure itself (and it usually takes longer than being on the hill!). I put the vids together for the subscribers I have, not the ones I don’t 🙌 I’ll leave you with one of my favourite jokes of all time… I wasn’t sure on the beard at first, but, over time, it grew on me.
Watching this video reminds me of John Muir's words: 'The mountains are calling, and I must go.' Just like mountain climbing, life is filled with its peaks and valleys. Each step you take in the wilderness not only brings you closer to nature’s heart, but also mirrors the personal challenges and peaks we face every day. Keep climbing, keep exploring, and remember, every mountain (or hill!) teaches us a bit more about ourselves. Your strength and resilience in sharing your story are truly inspiring.
John Muir doesn’t have a bad quote. I’ve always said Mountains give me perspective, their scale and age humble me and my problems to a point they seem to drift away. Thanks for the comment, I’m so happy you enjoyed the vid and got something from it.
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. subbed & 👍15
Thank you so much 👍, glad you like it!
Amazing landscapes in the video. Very similar views in Norway also.
Sounds like I need to make a trip across the North Sea then!
Or cats..🐈⬛
Gotta disagree with this one though 😂. No disrespect to cats or cat lovers, but more of a dog man myself
People...need people.
Completely agree
Good video again ... Thanks.
Thanks again Peter!
Loved the video and real men do cry it’s ok to not be ok most of us who seek the mountains or nature for a wild camp are probably doing it for self help and a reset, hope it’s helped now you are home, I haven’t made a video or wild camped in a long while kind of lost my mojo but really needing to get back to snowdonia with a tent soon, loads of support out here for you mate just keep on keeping on we are stronger than we know mentally, keep well and stay safe, Les.
Thanks Les, we always get so much more than we’re looking for in the mountains. Lack of mojo as hit me a few times but realised it’s because I left it out on a peak somewhere so definitely get back out there as soon as you can! Stay safe and have fun out there.
Amazing vid pal, we've done that route but had no views due to the mist and rain. Going back this weekend to see it again. Many thanks
Cheers buddy! Hope you get the clear skies and the views this weekend 🤞

Good
Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well. I am a RUclips video SEO expert. I was analyzing your RUclips channel. I am really impressed by your videos, but your RUclips channel has some issues. You have made many videos, but your RUclips channel is not getting as many views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, and no video tags, if you SEO your videos, your subscribers and views will increase, and your channel will grow. Your video quality is very good, but the channel is not increasing due to not doing video SEO. By doing video SEO, the channel grows faster. I can help you if you want.
Appreciate it, feel free the like, subscribe and share if you’d like to help 👍
Very cool video, such a stunning place, cool camp too, just come across your channel and have subbed, looking forward to watching more of your videos, good health and safe travels, cheers craig
Thanks Craig, absolutely stunning area of the country (would be even better if the River was cleaned up and not sewage brown!). Have fun out there pal!
I enjoyed these and am doing this at Easter well done
Still one of my fav trips so far! You going for the 24hr challenge or gonna split it up like I did?
i am 57 now so will split its more about enjoyment than achievment for me takng it all in you know ! @@mr_adventures
It s ok not to be ok fella. I live nearby and Cader Idris is my go to place when I want to clear my head. It works every time for me and resets my head. I hope you are ok now
The mountains always sort me out (especially when the weathers like this one!). Lots of lows with more highs 💪
Good video. Done Sharp Edge a few times but never when it's iced over - you're a braver man than me. It's a dangerous place in bad weather as we know - more so than Striding Edge. Looking forward to the next one
Haven’t tried Striding yet but it’s on the list. Glad you enjoyed the vid!!
That was an adventure. Best wishes.
Glad you enjoyed buddy!
Enjoyable video ... Thanks.
Cheers Peter, happy to liked it ☺️
Absolutely gorgeous scenery my friend
Some stunning places in the UK that’s for sure!
A nice highlight reel. Where is that unusual rock formation at 1.41? That would be a great selfie l9cation! Rgds, Wadi
Cheers Wadi! It’s called the cannon stone, about 2/3rds the way up north face of Tryfan. It’s from the episode Bailing off Bristly Ridge if you’re interested 👍… I’ll have to go back so I can take a selfie 😂
Looking forward to 2024 adventures.
Hopefully having a very big adventure in august (🤞). Just had the first one of the year so hopefully uploading that over the next couple of weeks
The way the afternoon sun hits across thoese drop offs is amazing. Your videos really show the enormity of it all, much enjoyed.
As long as the cloud is above 800m, no matter the weather, the beacons will give amazing views!
My biggest Adventure so far! But now that’s done I need inspiration for my next one, so, what’s your biggest adventure been?
Very far out up there. I didn't see a down moment. Have a cool week ahead. Mark
Extremely chilled out stroll. Challenging enough to make you work for it. Thanks mark, you too buddy!
@@mr_adventures Nice one - no panic! A pleasure.
How the hell did you get Crib to yourself. I was up before daybreak and it was packed. (nice vid👍)
Cheers mate, I managed to go mid week which definitely helped! Sometimes feels as busy as the pyg track some days up there 😂
