Easy Cryptographic Hashing in GNU Octave
Say I wanted to make a robot that would work in the middle of a field where there was no wifi signal but instead I setup a router that was not connected to the internet, just created a signal. If I had the pi and my laptop connected to this router then this approach would work?
it works; thank you!
Very thorough and informative video.... You pak mainly of 1 source of ESD- i ha a corsair keyboard and a Pronik-- both lacking a ritoir of a small value at the USB connection of their PCBs..it's put there to slowly dissipate this static buildup when not in use or even tiny amounts when in use. I remember not being able to use a wireless mouse- because the static build up would cause me to launch the mouse across the room...in high velocity...amazing what our bodies are capable of as a side comment--- but, yeahh, a simple addition of a resistor could have mitigated these scenarios.
Great !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks, just what I was looking for! Google found your video because of the transcript, great that you explain everything in detail so people who are coming in with no kicad vocabulary can still find your videos.
How is about raspberry pi zero?
Does that mean that you cant add the network the by editing the supplicant file and more?
It's still possible.
I had the pine phone...app r something. Atleast thats what it said version - pine blah blah. And ferier. And I don't know who put this stuff on my phone but how hard would it be to find me.
could you also show example of using this bus with different sheet in hierarchy
Sorry, I don't make videos any more. But for hierarchy, you'll need to unroll all signals until busses also get a hierarchy update.
For tutorial video better using light theme, because we can't see with clear the contains of video
I just did a quick run through your videos to date. They were exactly what I needed as a new Kicad user. They were just right on depth, duration, speed, needed vs optional, etc.
Short, no nonsense, clearly explained, awesome! Is it possible to use buses for "one to many" to avoid ERC warnings? IE: pin RA0 on MCU to pins D+ and PGD on separate components? KICAD decides what it will name the net, I'd like to name it by my MCU pin name (like RA0 and RA1).
Good question! Every net on the bus can be unfolded an unlimited number of times. So for one-to-many situations, I would label the bus first, and then unfold the wire/label as many times as needed. Doing it in this order will avoid net naming conflicts that could cause ERC Warnings. Because labels have priority over KiCad's auto-assigned net names, this is guaranteed to get you the net name you want.
Question being that Helium mobile runs on T-Mobile network can you download the app on this phone to use their SIM card for phone service?
I don't know the answer to this one. Mainly, I'd want to know if the Helium/T-Mobile networks support 4G and for how long, since this Pine model has a 4G modem. I've heard mixed reviews about using Waydroid to run Android apps on GNU Linux, but this is another possibility.
Thanks, your video was very helpful, I didn't know those commands.
Thanks for the feedback! I've been thinking about making another for version 8. At least after the first full/stable release.
I'm just glad you're making videos about pine64 products.
I was thinking to buy a pine phone pro but the eu prices... Bro 599€ is crazy and the keyboard 90€?!
What about the intergrading with outlook/Gmail emails, and different languages input support such as Japanese, Chinese those none Latin languages? I know plasma mobile and gnome mobile on pmso can do that, but plasma is very hard to sync with emails and calendars
I'll check if there's a solution to these I can test. I'm overdue to test out Waydroid and whether it can run the Android apps I use the most (especially keyboard input methods).
So far, Phosh wont use ibus, so no none Latin languages support, Gnome45 have trouble to use the virtual keyboard to sign in online account, wayland just doesnt recognize the input, i have to use a mouse to trigger and set the keyboard popout to alway be true or use a physical keyboard, and Smxo too complicated to configure if i dont dig into the script. Ha. so really hard to use linux mobile so far daily, except Sailfish whicb has all the featurea above that mentioned and android apps. But really would like to try out other distros. Ha
Pmos so far I don't see is very usable. Phosh(no althernative input methods for none latin langauge, sqeekboard and phosh-osk-stub are the only keyboards to use, Ibus doen't work), Gnome(online account signed popup, or some apps like pure maps, virtual input keyboard is not recoganized by wayland, not poping up, I have to use the physical keyboard to force the input), Plasma(really have trouble to sync the gmail, contact), others are desktop interfaces, sxmo(very limited, requires too many configurations, apps don't show up in the applist, even though the name is simple mobile.. but it is the most complicated one). Ubuntu Touch(no VoLTE), pretty much can't use in the States. So far the only linux mobile that can be used daily with all the requirements and android(de-googled) apps running is Sailfish OS which I have used for 2 years. Really hope Pmos can get out the of the beta testing and have the official production release.
It sounds like it is still a work in progress. I find that Samsung's Keyboard (v5.6) for Android is very well-designed so I'm hoping there is a similar project out there somewhere for postmarketOS. Maybe if I can get de-googled Android on this phone, it will be my next OS to test.
on Raspberry pi 5 the function name libcamera-still and no longer raspistill
Thanks! I'll give libcamera-still a try as soon as my Pi 5 is set up.
Can you put Fuchsia os in there??????
I haven't heard of this one before, but I will give it a try as soon as I can locate/flash it.
Gracias por el curso espero haya mas!!
Thank you very much for the upload! I was waiting for your content. I know it is very selfish to say, but I really enjoy, especially this series. P.S. about your efforts, maybe it would be beneficial to put your content first to something like Udemy? Or offer paid courses?
Now I know why Discovery, Animal Planet, History Channel and TLC switched from educational content to pop culture.
These videos are incredibly helpful! The reality is just that there are dozens or hundreds of people learning kicad... not the tens or hundreds of thousands that would make this worthwhile. That said, this content is evergreen , assuming kical doesn't change the interface dramatically.
Gracias por los tutoriales!!!
Why does this channel has so little views? This is great content and high quality....
Please! Continue this series! We need You!
I have just discovered your channel and this "play through". The format is simply great! Even though I was using KiCad quite a lot a few years ago. This is just mind-blowing how many "mechanics" I was not using (this is just a huge time saver!). Thank You for your efforts!
Thank you for the support! I think you're the first person to notice how low the engagement is on these projects. Lately, I've been migrating to other blogging platforms because I seem to be shadowbanned here.
Wish you would cut to the chase. Most of the video feels like a drag, just saying. Thanks though.
My newer videos are a little faster-paced, with no intro/closer. But I doubt it will stop RUclips's nonstop meddling.
@@unboxing_tomorrowdon't worry about it mate. You are doing just fine.
Google could've converge both Android and ChromeOS together and use GNU Linux as the baseline. But then again, I totally doubt Google ever want to do that since it'll hurt the Chromebook sales.
Why would it hurt Chromebook sales?
@@jeschinstad Because Google can make more money from vendors selling standalone laptops or tablets with ChromeOS and standalone smartphones with Android, simple as that.
I agree.... that would be the best of both worlds....
@@JanWillemMoltzerIkr. Microsoft is that close on giving such an experience with Continuum for Windows Phone. Now that we have Windows on ARM, Microsoft should have no problem resurrecting the Lumia line with modern hardware and improved Continuum. I know a lot of people who can leave their standalone laptops for such capability if existed.
Enjoying the series. Please keep going. Last time i 'played' with PCBs I was using DOS Protel! I came to this series while trying to work out how the heck busses work, so thank you very much for this, I'm going to watch the whole lot. PS Liked and subscribed!

I have a pinephone keyboard that the charging chip blew up very quickly after i got it.
That's pretty wild! Is it repairable?
If I can find the IC that blew, I could. This was a not so well known issue back when it came out. I basically bought it the day they announced it. If you look now in the wiki they have many warnings about not charging the phone while the keyboard is connected.
@@UndernetSystemsShould have asked for a refund. That's wild.

Having one application for both controlling and transferring files is more advantageous. And finally someone who does it right! Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on an updated follow-up video now that the new Pi 5 is out, and I'm using similar means to transfer files to/from PinePhone.
life saver, thank you so much for this
Thanks for the feedback! I'll probably revisit this topic as soon as a Raspberry Pi 5 gets here.
3:45 appreciate you pointing out pinephone carrier support
Thanks for letting me know. I didn't want to leave anyone high and dry if their favorite carrier was having troubles. Hopefully the list is growing every day.
Appreciate the demo of postmarketos on the pinephone convergence package. Hoping for more videos on this. :)
Thanks! I've been taking a break from blogging, but I don't know. Maybe it's time for PinePhone 1 Year Later video.
@@unboxing_tomorrow Yes please! Also maybe an overall video of all the OS's you've tried on different devices and the success/failures. Might also be time to fix the buymeacoffee link. :)
Talk about doing things the long way around, they couldn't have come up with a more obtuse and confusing way to connect to bus. Diptrace - route bus, connect to bus, add net name, done. KiCAD - well, this.
I'm hoping this feature and differential traces have a little more discoverability in the next major release.
@@unboxing_tomorrow I'm not even sure about the current state of affairs with KiCAD - its bad, horrible even, for simple projects - sure, anything more than 100 pins and all the ugly becomes visible.
I'm a noob and have watched a lot of vids but this series was super helpful, easy to follow and I wish I'd found it sooner
i tried this. followed all the way through. However, I used a usbasp as a programmer. Despite intalling a driver for the programmer, it wasn't present on the list here @ 11:30
I come from a machine learning engineering background: i deeply believe people should share their battery usage logs to help with future data-driven approaches to optimising the battery ussage. You can use reinforcement learning with enough data points. Ontop of that, i want to develop an IP configuration to make anonymity a first class citzen via routing all tcp traffic through tor. Was just looking at a means of falling back to Voice over IP via tcp rathher than UDP to create a annonomous phone call experience.
I'd support it! Privacy-preserving tech is an idea people in general should explore.
Youre an absolute star for speed-running through the context at the start; helps keep track of the convo so much easier.
Strait to the point without a ramble or long introduction. More videos need to be done this way haha
Please do more desktop tests with other distros for pinephone. Specially actually usage like libreoffice, markdown editors etc. Love you videos on pinephone ❤
you have an accent....I wonder what your native language is...perhaps a slavic one..?
I actually didn't know what I sounded like until I started making videos. I've probably gotten it from different people.
@@unboxing_tomorrow Not worried, I like your voice, its very clear, and you speak at a good speed. Very good for tutorials!
Great tutorial! Can you show us how you use busses from a parent to children in a heirarchical design?
"The devil is in the details!" Exceptionally well explained and illustrated!
Thanks for the feedback! Recently, I decided to revive this series with part 9 hopefully showing up within a week.
Very concise and immensely useful. Thanks for the video, shame about the low viewership :)
