I wish there were more on the road still. I live near a highway on a hill and love listening to the trucks go up and down. It used to be way louder year's ago. I very rarely hear a Detroit these days, even E9 Mack's are very few and far between now.
V8 Macks pulling road trains hard.......they would approach with the thudding V8.......and howl with the 12 speed Mack trans as they passed with the doppler effect.
This was the truck and engine that got me into trucking. This is what makes trucking fun. A well tuned stroker makes you feel like you're driving a racecar.
