I learned this one by ear before hearing the parts on MultiTracks or seeing the official playthrough. What I play here probably isn't exactly the same as the recording but it still covers most of the prominent parts. If you play this in church, nobody will give you the side-eye 😉

In general, I like to use chord shapes as a foundation and explore different voicings to create melodies. I'd suggest learning as many different chord shapes you can across the entire fretboard. Worship Tutorials has some great videos about playing patterns for worship guitar.

To play in A, I'd suggest you capo on the 2nd fret and use G chord shapes instead of the C shapes I'm using in the video.

@@electric_praiseoh is there a certain way I tune my guitar then?

@@Kenyon__ Yes, in this video the guitar playing the main riff is tuned down a semitone. So the lowest string is Eb instead of E. You could capo on the 4th fret and use the open low string to get the Ab instead of the A string tuned down a semitone. Then you would play the intro on the 2 lowest strings instead of the A and D strings.

Play everything 2 frets higher since D is 2 semitones higher than the original key of C. For the rhythm guitar parts, you could capo on the 2nd fret and play the same chord shapes I play in the video.
