@@truckingdestiny I’ve been doing LP for about 5 weeks now, I got a 2021 with 310k miles for 26 months. It’s been a bumpy ride so far. The truck comes with the balance of the factory warranty which isn’t much so if you break down you’re responsible for the repair from the gate. I broke down my first week in FL and had to pay $2K out of pocket to get it fixed.

You can only pick your own loads if you go lease purchase or you are an owner operator.

@@truckingdestiny Poor craftsmanship. If I personally bought one which the possibility of it is low, I'd have the dealer put extra greasing on all bushings, do a bolt check and put more styrofoam in the dash because rattling is a well-known problem on those new t680s. I've heard it isn't as bad on peterbilts but most newer trucks in general are built like crap.

Sometimes I run my clock over into the night if I'm trying to park up at the shipper/receiver. I try not to drive at night though.

Appreciate your support!!! I'm a company driver but I'm interested in the lease purchase program also. I've been talking to current lease purchase operators and people who have actually completed the lease purchase program. They all have great things to say about the program.

I like it here. The management is very supportive when I need them. They make sure any issues or concerns I have are addressed properly. I pay is good. I run pretty hard most of the time though but I also go home on the weekends. When I stay out the pay is more.

@@truckingdestiny I’m think I may be coming over. New CDL grad. Been hearing flatbed may not be good to start out with. Talk to a recruiter , so I’m tryna decide a Monday to come.

@@BuckTheWorld215 You'll be fine. Flatbed trucking is the physically challenging all trucking careers. I just look at it as a way to stay physically active. I enjoy it.

@@BuckTheWorld215 You have 11 hours to drive within a day and 14 hour of "ON DUTY" time. You want to get as much done as you can SAFELY within this time frame. Meaning get loaded get gone!!!

@@BuckTheWorld215 the other hours are for "ON-DUTY" task such as your pre-trip inspection, post-trip inspection, loading, unloading, fueling and other tasks that are not driving.
