I love this song! thank you.
I love this!
I never get tired of hearing Martin play this piece . He is so talented
What Tune is being used?
Oh crap! My candles are out!
O Worship The King All Glorious Above, the Ancient of Days 🙏🙏
Martin did you use the 8 foot trumpet, cornopean, tuba, cornet or tromba reed stop? Great playing on the organ.
Geoffrey one of my favorite hymns amen
O
1:52 *You know what time it is...*
Count dracula Shits himself as Freddy in the Room.
It should be freddy on organ
i remember sang this when the first time i went to the Anglican church in KL. Love this tune so much :) Thanks for sharing, it's beautiful :)
Tempo is just perfect. Beautifully played!!!
Powerful song
Toll gespielt!!
The metre is just a tad too fast for me... the congregation haven't got time to breathe. It can go the other way too though, and become a dirge, so easily.
Very well played! Please post more hymn playing like this
Brilliant and accomplished.
Very nicely played -- just the right tempo as well, I think. It peeves me that this isn't in the hymnals I usually see in Catholic churches in the U.S. (though not absent from all). Lovely bit of sacred verse by a young chap who I think eventually was Governor-General of India, and a fine tune.
It's in most of the hymnals in the UK :)
Bishop mark ordination in st joseph cathedral swansea by bishop daniel A great day
well played
This always sounds better as an organ transcription than orchestral, and this is lovely. Never knew there was such a grand organ in Gorseinon!
Wow an impressive gathering of dignitaries. What was the occasion?
Beautiful melody and a joy to listen too. Many thanks
I like this piece at any speed! Thank you
Very Nice Indeed Martin Thanks for sharing it with us! :o)
This was excellent. Enjoyed it, nice acoustic sound too.
Excellent Martin - Great to see you posting again and the Organ sounds excellent too! :o)
Hi James, The organ has 26 ranks of pipes, the rest is digital taking the total number of speaking stops up to 55. It has had some more voicing work since the Carmen Video so sounds a lot better now.The camera was too close in the Carmen video, so didnt really give a true indication of the sound. It sounds fantasti in the flesh.
I like your organ descant. That was the recessional hymn today (4 Aug 2013) in the Catholic church where I am organist here in the States. That is about the tempo I use as well. Nice work. BMP
Brillian organist playing at exaclty the right tempo and with such inspiration. Well done!
Why play it so fast? It would be much clearer if you played it at the correct tempo
nicely played. Organ sounded robust. It's my favourite piece of music, ever!
Love that piece of music, very well played.
Excellent Performance .
Very nice, enjoyed it. Thank you .
Perfection - I've never heard it played better - such feeling, so smooth, so atmospheric. St Catherines Church is so fortunate to have you as Director of Music. I need to hear you playing "live"
Excellent Stuff Martin and to hear it live was even better! :o)
Delightful sound.
Excellent Martin and to hear it live too was even better! :o)
Very Nice that Martin and the sound of the birds and the church bells made the difference! :o)
A very grand performance Martin was looking where the final part went too! :o)
That was great Martin to hear the Organ Live.... What happened to the other part of the video?
Fantastic sound and playing, but that modern console sticks out like a sore thumb! They could at least have matched the timber finish.
Excellent piece and very well played. Thank you .
Brilliant Martin when I was at the recital on Friday I can honestly say I've never heard a sound quite like it - I thought the Windows of the Church was going to smash! A good view of the Organ here as well... The sound was good as well...Ile have to show you my ZoomH2 Microphone when I see you :o)
The console looks very modern and out of place for an historic organ. Has the console been replaced? Great pity if so... the original should always be restored and retained or an important aspect of the instrument is lost for ever.
Enjoyed this too :-)
One of my favourite pieces Martin, nicely played :-)
Very nice piece again Martin, very enjoyable :-)
