COUNTRYSIDE DESTROYED! There was a great potential lost here to expand on what had become a thriving wildlife habitat! Once again wildlife and locals lose out to greed! nice walks for locals lost! All the existing wildlife displaced! A potential log cabin holiday attraction that would have blended in' enhancing a wildlife theme, lost! holiday visitors who appreciate such countryside area's of natural beauty would have spent money in local shops and businesses, all lost!

It’s taken some time but those houses are really starting to move in… looks like they’ve quarried out some of the land at certain points. Best not to compare it to its theme park days, very sad!

I'm sure if I searched hard enough I could find some photo's of me and the kids there.

Great footage Al. Really enjoyed the bits of the old canal. I think a series of vids showing the entire route from Langley Mill Basin to Cromford would be a lot of hard work but brilliant. Especially if you do all the ‘missing sections’ too, I’m sure it would attract a high amount of followers and views if you could produce it mate.

I remember going to American adventure when I was about 8 or 9 around 1992 and 93. I use to watch the live show shootout and the cancan girls dancing. Such a shame it got closed down in 2006? It had the potential of being a big hitter in the UK of theme parks. What is happening with the land now then? Would be great to see something good come of it.
