The original 1-piece body SAS's were the most underrated PRS's ever. I had a 2003 turquoise and still have a 2005 Blue Mateo. Coil-tapped, vintage rail activated and the tone rolled back was heavenly. They didn't catch on because they didn't look as fancy as the PRS maple finishes.

I've got two Chinese-made Epiphone semi-hollows - the NG Riviera will be my next - and the build quality is phenomenal. I've played the NG recently and it looks stunning and plays beautifully.

I own the Epi Modern in Graphite Black, and i cannot fathom for the life of me how the Gibson is objectively worth $3000 more.

About to pull the trigger, found one that weighs in at 7lbs 4 ounces

If I were looking to get a Slash signature I'd either get an Appetite or November burst, depending on the top. Same price, and specs with better tops.

I bought this guitar about 3 months ago and it was set up great out of the box. Maybe you just got unlucky. Haha!!

This is the only Les Paul I’m interested in, the Gibson Les Paul modern is $4000 CAD (Canadian dollars) before tax, the Epiphone Les Paul Modern is $1000 CAD before tax, is there also a Epiphone Les Paul modern figured model which I have no idea what the difference is and it’s $1020 CAD. Do you think it’s worth getting the Epiphone over the Gibson?

There's a "raw" factor that I love about the actual vintage strats. Fender can never seem to recreate the sound perfectly, which I suppose is due to the aged materials. Awesome comparison between the two. Thanks for this upload!

Dang, is this worth it?? $1500. I could get a amazing Strat or sum for $1000 (I’ve been wanting a Strat for awhile but jaguar is always on my mind or when really truly thinking I could get a $300 guitar and be satisfied.

I actually liked the sound of the Epiphone better. The Gibson sounded warmer but also a touch too dark for me. Of course all of this can be changed with a pickup change. Value wise, can't beat what you get with an Epi., Rep wise, everyone wants to own at least one Gibson so I suspect it will come down to that more than the sound differences.

This is still my dream guitar ever since i first saw it like 20 years ago. Never got it.

I don't agree with the "name on the headstock" stuff. Companies should make a good product if they put the name on it. You shouldn't have to worry if you buy a fender that its not going to be a good guitar. But that's sadly how companies are.

I have a PRS 513. Best made guitar I've ever owned. I own five LP's, including a 59 RI. Three strats. Numerous Epiphones. I had two tele's, A 2002 MIM thinline and an American 98. Sold both, but I miss the 98 American. Had fantastic tone and sustain. I need another tele. Maybe this is a choice?

Nice review! Your tone didn't come out that well in the video as I am supposing that it came out in your studio. Just a note for future recordings. I am afraid I don't have any particular suggestion on how to make things better but let's face it, our phones and PCs can't reproduce what you heard after RUclips's processing. I did watch a video earlier today on the same product where the output was better but I don't have the knowledge to tell you what was different.

Is rolled a programming we were fed? Gibson bound guitars don’t have rolled edges by design and human flesh doesn’t really sand wood over time unless your skin is made of rocks.
