Less than 2 months ago I bought a Kershaw Dividend with black aluminum scales and stonewashed CPM Magnacut blade. The "torsion bar" that powers the assisted opening snapped in two. I've requested more of these overrated paperclips, but now understand that they are the weak link in this design. I've unassisted the spring by removing the pieces and I still like the knife in general. Does anyone have an alternative for the torsion bar possibly made of a longer lasting material or improved design? That would be an aftermarket gold mine for Kershaw assisted opening knives.

The dividend is one of my fav kershaws! I have this composit bladed one and I have 1 of the M390 exclusive they put out a while back and one of the 20cv exclusives. I got one of the models they did for bhq in Damascus as well! I really love the design of the dividend and how thin it carries! As a female we have very shallow pockets so I carry inside the waist band and I really appreciate super thin knives! Not to mention the blade shape of the dividend is fantastic!!!

A knife that is with me every single day! There is a sod JR that's in my purse along with a custom opinel #8 in s90v. Very seldom does any one knife be carried by me for more then 2 days in a row because I have so many. So my edc is more like my 1 or 2 day carry lol!! That sod JR and opinel never stay at home and they both are literally my EDC. I really really want a GEC bull buster badly! I love the sod pattern because no one bats an eye even you open one in the office or out in public but you do get looks if you flick open a pm2 or manix etc etc lol. I have a couple models of the sod JR and I have two regular Sod busters but I really only carry the Jr. All of them i have are in the carbon steel, I really can't stand that crap case "Tru dull" stainless lol.

They got to run the magnacut harder on the first run models of it. 61rc target just ain't gonna cut it, now that they updated the heat treat protocol and are targeting 63hrc I cam get behind it! I just bought a magnacut link and it tested 63.6rc! I really want a magnacut blur to but I'm scared if I buy one I will get one that was made before the update to the HT protocol and ide be very upset at getting gummy 60-61rc magnacut. I hope you got a post heat treat change model so you getting a good performing knife. I actually just bought a s30v blue today lol.

Thank you for this helpful little overview! I love the colours, and you've made me greedily want both! 😅 Though I sadly couldn't carry them completely legally over here (🇬🇧 / cue the sad trombone). It's great that Kershaw is still improving their classics. I hope companies keep offering more handle/blade colourways, styles, & steels on older _proven_ models; it's like carrying a piece of functional art in your pocket every day. ☺️ 🔪 I've also found that people that loudly balk that they think you're "dangerous" and a "killer" for _owning,_ (nevermind _carrying)_ and using such basic but well-crafted wee tools, are less vocal & intimidated by coloured knives. For some reason, I've had a couple of people tell me that they felt _"safer"_ because "a black blade isn't as sharp" (lol). Me=🤐

I got several lights 1 fenix a bunch of olights and the gold nitecore mini 2 and nitecore tm20k this definitely gonna be my next buy love it! great vid quick and to the point.
