Until a player held the guitar and gave it scale I had not realized how small this guitar was. Also, the body is a bit shallow. This seems to be the classical equivalent of a parlor guitar. Stands to reason it does not have the volume and low end of a full size classical. I take your word for it that it has a pleasing timbre, watching a compressed video on regular RUclips could never do justice to the real sound. It looks absolutely beautiful and like it is a pleasure to play. I don't think I would worry about the slight offset of the strings on the fingerboard: it is in a direction that makes the high E less likely to be pulled off the edge so it is a feature, not a bug! I don't think anything more needs to be done to this guitar at all.

Masterful work. The respect you showed this instrument is a beautiful thing. Question: Do you use hide glue for all of your work or on a case by case basis? Regardless, hide glue was absolutely the right choice for this instrument - it needed to be put back together the way the original builder intended. Thank you for taking the time to capture this process and share it with us!

I am in the process of restoring 3 guitars from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. One a Brazilian Rosewood Washburn and one with a solid oak top , bottom and sides. I really appreciate your videos for ideas. Thanks

Some very annoying and much too long video where the camera was either too focused or filmed from completely the wrong angles. a bit of music here and there and that was it. Undoubtedly a professional, but I always say shoemaker stick to your last. It's a nice video if you can't sleep in the evening. Goodnight and sleep-well👋
