1st Oil Change in a 2004 Mercury Sable with only 113,000 miles. Our K&P Oil Filter caught all the engine sludge that has been building up the the motor. It was like blowing it out with a fire-hose!!!!

What’s your part number for the Toyota/Lexus 2GR V6? I haven’t been lucky w/ your websites search function. I going to get the s61 from Figs Engineering for my IS F. 👍🏾

Do I need to clean this every time I change my oil for a Harley
Can I clean it in a dishwasher? Seems to work fine for my blackpowder gun parts. :)
The dishwasher won't hurt it, but leaving aluminum in hot water for more than 15 minutes can discolor the aluminum (it turns brown). I would target the flow of water from the inside of the element out as much as possible, as you are trying to knock the debris loose from the outside of the filter media. Dave

I'm looking at buying s44 oil filter for my milwaukee-eight Harley-Davidson I would assume the s44 is bigger then the stock Harley filter the new version 1

Do i need a new quad ring?? I have the flow filter
the flo filter is a knock off, kind of like a Chinese Honda. They look the same, but parts are not interchangeable and results of intermixing parts could be dangerous due to failures.
Had this filter installed with cooling system.

Do i need to change the gasket??
The gasket can last up to 4-5 changes as long as it remains pliable and you are comfortable it will still seal. We prefer to change the gasket either with every oil change, or after the gasket has been used once on each side.
I have the flow. Oil filter.
Beautiful filter but doesnt clean oil. There is no way a full flow filter can clean oil. That takes a bypass filter such as Frantz Gulf Coast Australian Jackmaster and a few others. The Wix on my Pontiac Torrent has 62.000 miles and over 4 years on it. The bypass filter keeps the oil and Wix clean.

I bought two already from ECS Tuning in case I don't have the time to clean and let them dry in time for my oil change. Happens sometimes on the run.

I need one with a safety tie down for when I track my ZX6RR
You have a couple of options: 1) Drill a couple of small holes in the bottom rib of the filter housing that will accept safety wire and tie it off. 2) install a hose clamp around the filter and tie the hose clamp off with safety wire. Hope this helps!

I have a 2011 Harley Davidson Fatboy lo with the 103 twin cam engine will this work for my bike? If so what model? Does it come in black? Also my bike requires a drain back valve, does it filter prevent drain back?
Need to run a engine flush on those and get the sludge out.
Engine sludge? I hope you use an engine flush and switch to synthetic oil.

Maybe an electric vehicle in your future? No paper oil filters to contaminate the water from the landfills, and no poisonous gases from cleaning a reusable filter.

Have been running with this filter on my BMW 335i for about 8,500 km now and looking forward to my winter oil change. The engine loves this filter. Oil pressure jumps up almost immediately at startup and oil temp stays significantly cooler on race days. Wouldn’t use anything else.

Not all filter models have magnetic prefiltering. Model 38 for the n54 engine has no such magnetic pre-filter.
When one pays thousands if bucks for a motorcycle, this is one of the smartest investments one can make for the protection and longevity for your bike!

Hi Jason, Cleaning the filters only takes a few minutes & the added perk is you get to see whats going on inside your engine as you clean the filter, plus your getting 7 times the oil flow as the same sized paper filter, faster oil pressure on startup, reduction of oil pump drag (resulting in horsepower & mpg gain), prevention of bypass operation, as well the aluminum housing & high flow rate dissipates heat. So if you think about it, taking a few extra minutes to clean the filter will help the longevity of your engine. With all this being said the filter isn't for everyone.
