Zen Biscuits
Добавлен 9 апр 2020
I’m a Zen priest based in Oxfordshire (UK), rooted in the Linji-Chán tradition of Buddhism.
My Dharma name is Wù Xīn (Awakening Heart).
When I first heard of emptiness, I feared falling headlong into the darkness of amorality and nihilism.
But glimpsing it for a moment one sees that though the fundamental characteristic of all ‘things’ is beyond grasp, it is discernible everywhere and includes everything without limit. All is empty, yes, but on that account, the entire universe is forever singing the Good Law, if only we’d open our ears to it. With faith gradually achieved from the practice of letting go, we find the heart’s rest that is always available to us. The 'Void' is actually the very wellspring of deep compassion, which ceaselessly flows forth from its tranquil heart of no-thingness. Taking the leap, we lose nothing essential; instead we gain an 'all' that is empty of self, yet full of love.

Ice creates a physical obstruction, which is like the ties that bind living beings. Water’s nature is to be all-pervasive, which is like the complete purity of the Buddha mind.’ Joko Beck: 'To protect ourselves we free...

One of my favourite sermons. Very challenging, especially how to let go of mind sense.
REMOVE THESE MUNDANE ADS FROM THIS STURA
Thank you for this
Incredible
In a language I can understand sadu
Wonderful, thank you ❤
I'm grateful for this reading. Curious why stress was used instead of suffering. Every single translation of any Buddhist text uses the word suffering. Evidently someone feels they know better and I'd love to know why.
Thank you 🙏
Deepest gratitude offered.
Dunno if you still check this, but thank you very much for this

Thank you for posting this most wonderful and precious poem by Great Dharma Master Hsu Yun (Empty Cloud). Namo Amitabha. www.dharmasite.net/SongoftheSkinBag.htm
Illumination = The realization that (The realization that (The realization that (The realization (The realization (The realization (The realization that illumination is not something to be attained.) is not something to be attained.) is not something to be attained.) is not something to be attained.) is not something to be attained.) is not something to be attained.
Illumination = The realization that (The realization that illumination is not something to be attained.) tis not something to be attained.
What was before, let it wither away. (Past) What will be later do nothing with it. (mind's expectation of will be- when the mind is open to infinity) Not grasping what is in between (present will manifest, as a process) You will live in peace. (Conditioning will cease and one become unbound)
Thank you
👍🏻😊😇
