I’m the worst chafer ever haha. I keep bandaids on them under my shirt. There are things like nip guards that you can put on to! They help a ton

I recently tried Nike's Element quarter zip and ran over an hour in 30 degrees and had no bleeding or burning in nipples. Nike's Element has 10% spandex/elastic material. Just a week before, I ran an hour in 100% polyester and had bleeding. Spandex or elastic material is key here I think as they stretch with movement, reducing friction. A cheaper option would be 32-degree 'Active Cool' shirt which they sell the 4-pack for $19.99 in their website. Obviously, if nipples are injured, I would bandage them for a week.

Thank you. 2 years back into running, after a 15 year hiatus. My slow pace is definitely improving after a strong base build for 1.5 years with low heart rate. I enjoy swimming but think I’m definitely prioritizing the gym 2x a week in addition to my 5-6 runs per week, I let the swim slide if anything needs too, it feels right. Hoping to run sub 4 this fall. Appreciate your advice and delivery - thanks from one Rob to another.

Not taking anything away from what you have accomplished, but a 2:56 in a Marathon that is 5000ft net downhill is not even close to running sub 3 in a flat Marathon. On a flat course you would have been in the 3h10 range. Still very respectable.

Any runner who achieve a sub 3 hour marathon is genetically gifted to some extent. But you leave that out. Your progress, albeit highly impressive, not only speaks to your commitment, it also shows that you have innate talent for running. The fact that you got overweight was more or less your own choice.
