Hypothetically, let's say there was a primary. They had no one who could win. Which is why they put her out there in order to lose and now she'll never serve in any office or any administration. Here is the problem: there were many voters who complained about the fact that Kamala was not subject to a primary and was simply appointed. Many loud voices spoke about how this is antithetical to democracy, and yet this fell on deaf ears. Pundits were either silent in the face of this criticism, or confronted the criticism with indignation. It is clear that there is nothing "democratic" about the Democratic Party. In fact, the name of the party should be changed for that reason. It is false advertising.
