2900HP Stock Crank Coyote Engine Teardown and Analysis
We teardown the engine that made over 2900 Horsepower on the hub dyno. This engine was put in during FL2K and won that event. It also won World Cup Finals, and two races at Mod Nationals.

Fox 60" hard not enough horse torques. Snot 3.0 will be a force. Not enough for Cleet, but 3000hp vs. 5000hp ain't fair. Be nice when you both have some more laps. I'm a bit confused. On one hand you say 2900 hub hp. Then you talk about it making 2700 at 53, then say you run it at 50 lbs. So wouldn't that be more like 2675 hub or so, not 2900?

There are a few spots in the cylinders where you can see the piston rocking a bit. But I guess that's to be expected at 2900hp. Could be worse for that much power

This Coyote didn't need no billet block nor billet heads, no stroker billet crank, to perform at this level. Ford did good on this engine, i hope they continue to do so.

Did you notice your intake flexing under boost? I wonder if the flex does anything you your power band. Also it is good to keep an eye on cause it might get metal fatigue and blow up.
I wonder if the coyote engineers purposely designed this motor to handle all this power or they just built a factory monster, not knowing?

Can you explain “fogging the engine” to prevent rust? You spray oil in the cylinder in between events? I’ve ran Sunoco 116 and rust was an issue for me in the cylinders.
It's amazing what Ford has been doing with a 302 for all these years.. PPL talk that shit about Found On Road Dead all they want.. But when it comes to engineering Ford has been beating the pants off of their competitor's! Since the 289 days Ford has been doing way more with less for a long time..
