Does not have Platinum gearbox. It actually has cyma’s mid range “mosfet edition” gearbox with full stroke 18:1 gears. Also has cyma bone basic bare metal can motor.

I want to like the Eye Trace series but... The AKX version I had came with a Small Tamiya, it had very cheap polymer and was creaky and wobbly, the Smart MOSFET wasn't so smart as it didn't have battery protection, thus the system actually let a lipo battery completely die on me without any warning and I barely got though 500 bbs and less than 1 hour of play with the eye trace on before I had to swap batteries (I run ultra performance, high discharge, 1100-1400 mah 11.1v lipos and never had this issue with other replicas that literally require more for performance), not to mention the trigger response in the AKX was God awful (it was a long pull, with a very long delay to gear rotation). I honestly wouldn't suggest this at $300 to anyone, untill you're shilling or received it a product placement. Way better gun with better MOSFETs/ETUs, external builds and way better performance ratings at a $300 price tag. I'm personally loosing faith in Elite Force AEGs.

That gun is my main rn, it’s a great starter weapon

my FMA broke after 90 days. just stopped working. also, the batteries keep falling out of place, you have to cushion it when placing them otherwise the fan will stop mid game. also the lenses scratch very easily. After like 5 games and you can't see shit. Not talking about BB scratches. Just for being in a bag and it scratches and you can't see shit. Not well built, very weak plastic. I changed for a different system. While I use prescription glasses, I use labor protection grade goggles. They are certified by your local laws that can hold heavy and very energic particles (many many joules - way beyond any airsoft game or even lead projectiles of air carbines). And for fog, I use a system called ZeroFog, based on ExFog. Since I use cheap (but much more reliable, tested labor goggles), I can simply change the goggles for a brand new one if the lenses scratch too much and keep the ZeroFog. Much better and reliable system. I heard horror stories of people believing these cheap chinese plastics and having BBs hitting inside the goggle, very near the eye or even THE eye. You only have 2 eyes. Those lenses are not certified for nothing. Dont mess around. Use only certified labor grade individual protection equipment goggles. And for fog: ExFog (in my case ZeroFog). Case closed.

I have a stock H23 edge 2.0 and just went from a 7.4 to a 11 battery and the change is INSANE. Trigger response is fantastic and the rate of fire is ridiculous. Awesome replica right out of the box.
