Not Another D&D Podcast (Short Rest) - Emily Teaches the Gang Her Hemp Milk Song
My absolute favorite moment from the short rest - episode 49 where Emily tries to remember and teach everyone her hemp milk song.
Hopefully its okay to upload this short clip. If you aren't a patreon for naddpod and have the means to do so, you definitely should.

Ween playing in some record store promoting Quebec. I've had the video for ages, and even though the video quality sucks, I figured it's better to upload it than have it lost forever. 1:15 - Pandy Fackler 6:10 - Birthday Boy

The directing in this scene is truly marvelous

This is what happens to a show when they reject a Ween penned theme song. They could have made like Grounded For Life and ran for 5 seasons: ruclips.net/video/OfUKJ72D7ak/видео.html
Gene Ween - Boing (acoustic)

Not many live performances of this song on youtube, let alone acoustic versions. Not nearly as brown as the Wetlands '91 show, but still pretty brown. I encourage you to taste the waste and watch the Wetlands version: ruclips.net/video/-0X0i9cjVsI/видео.html

A Gene Ween cover of a great Beach Boys song. Video is from ages ago, so the quality is terrible.

Yet another video from this early solo Gene Ween set from July 27th, 2002. Didn't see this song being played by Gener solo acoustic, so here it is.

This is from an early Gene Ween solo set from July 27th, 2002. I don't know a whole lot about the song itself, so anyone who knows anything please let me know. This was literally the first song I learned to play on guitar, which, looking back now, was kind of a weird choice, but I really enjoyed how it went and it was fun to play even though the slide from whatever that D-shaped first chord is ...
This is as if Jerry and Robert Hunter had pre-written an obituary song for Jerry. It's pitch-perfect.
The violent rejection of Emily's version from everyone standing in stark contrast to how everyone normally is COMPLETELY onboard with any of her shenanigans is SOOOO funny to me for some reason 😂
Finally left the ground.... Kim Smoltz should have also been on the album
this is amazing
Gene ween truly one of the most versatile singers ever
Gener brought the razor blade…
extraneous hemp and extraneous milk
Hi gene ween
🔥🔥
This was the first ever short rest I listened to and it was a WILD introduction
Never heard of this group.
I love when Dean laughs at the drummer. 2:25
We keep up the tradition because "you got your hemp, you got your milk"
Still painful to me
One of the best songs I’ve had the pleasure of hearing
You don’t listen to much, do ya ?!?
Beautiful
Wet
This popped up in my recommended like a week ago and then the new d&d court came out and they reLITIGATED IT
The tragedy is that her version does fit classic melodic structure- murph’s version is incomplete
This reminds me of that one clip from adventuring party where Emily was talking about how she made grilled cheese for the first time and she used the cheese confetti and Murph was silent for a few seconds and then he was like "Do you mean grated cheese?!"
I've been relistening to 8bit book club and they were talking about the hemp milk and this song got stuck in my head Friday, only to have this pop into my feed today. Kismet
Brown as F-k
Bless whoever is here
Nice !!!!
Recently saw them in Silver Spring, MD and they opened with this song... it was legitimately breathtaking
They killed it that show every song was perfect
Love the texture sof the fuzz guitar in the ooriginal , but ween, for all the special effects , have some solid heartfelt songwriting behind it all
Claude is my dad
Congratulations
Say hi for me 🥰
Ah yes, 240p
I was there
We all were, blockhead
I was not there. I am jealous 😢
yes
I never knew the man, but he was a good friend of mine
Oh HELL yeah 💙 thanks for posting this
I keep coming back to this just to humble myself for thinking I know where things will go
songs like these lift people up from dark places.
It did and continues to do so
How so?
Did Gener write the guitar part??
Everyone insisting on one of them being correct without even getting a clean attempt on either version
What is this from?
this is a clip from an episode of the Short Rest Podcast. Patreon subscribers to their Regular DnD podcast get these extra episodes that are half behind-the-scenes, half slice-of-life chats from the cast of the show.
when caldwell shout-laughed at "squeeze her nut bag", i knew this clip was going to be good
25 Years today Jerry went down that long dark river. But the boognish lives. Thanks for this, Aaron.
Thank you so much for uploading
Okay, but Emily's version makes perfect sense
WRONG
@@theoxymoron97 alright good for you pal. Have a nice day/night.
No, it absolutely doesn't. She asks them to say 'hemp' but wants them to say 'milk'. It doesn't make sense in the slightest.
The one dislike is Emily.
The other is Paw-Paw
I love how much Emily energy this podcast, as a whole, utterly exudes! Makes me proud to be an Emily
I finally get the joke!! As soon as I stop being a brokeass student would love to become a patreon <3 Thank you!!
Emily:GIMME A HEMP Also Emily: MILK
Hemp milk truly was a moment in history, but maybe don’t freeboot their Patreon content. Edit: I just saw the description
Yeah, I had reservations about posting it but I guess I was hoping most people take it as a promotion and motivation to support them on patreon?
Basdf23f23f Yeah, I do actually see your point there. At some point, and I can’t remember when, Jake does endorse the patron content talking about the hemp milk song (and the billion grills conversation), and I was thinking that a couple of clips would probably act as a good advertisement.
They'll be fine
this video was 100% why I signed up for their patreon
😁
😂
Wicked good.
