DUNA USA
Добавлен 10 дек 2014
DUNA USA manufactures CORAFOAM® high and low density polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam. Our continuous manufacturing process gives CORAFOAM® an ultra-smooth surface that is easy to finish, will produce chips instead of dust when cut on a CNC machine, and has the highest strength per density on the market.
CORAFOAM® is manufactured in densities from 4 lb/ft³ through 43 lb/ft³ and can be cut with almost any type of woodworking tool. It's closed cellular structure and absence of fibers or granular structure result in crisp, excellently defined edges after fabrication. It is also impermeable by any type of liquid, including water and solvents, making it much better suited for severe weather conditions or harsh marine environments. CORAFOAM® is closed-cell, and has a lifetime warranty outdoors as long as it has been primed, and painted and installed correctly.

Jeeze dude turn down the music
Great video. Lots of great information and to the point.
Hi. I like the video and find it very informative. My question is: I would like to know how you attached the individual letters. What adhesive did you use on the pre painted background? Did you use DUNA bond? Epoxy? Something else? Thanks
I love how you're just power sanding polyurethane and paint without a mask. Very carcinogenic.
How much is a 4x8 sheet of the corafoam?
Did you have the router do the convex on the letters or did you do it by hand?
what sandblasting media do you use? I'm sandblasting a panel now with Black Diamond coal slag and it's going sooooo slow...
What kind of spray gun you use? And what nozzle do you use?
Hello! I don't know if your channel is still active to responses but, what specific spray gun do you guys use in this specific video? Thanks!
What is the best way to hang on a wall?
How do you paint the edges of the letters? I've tried masking, but I can't get it to leave clean lines. Would love to see a video on this.
I could watch this for hours. 🙂
NIce Sign design line!
Thanks for the great video Jeremy. Do you also use the same Behr Ultra for the glossy color of the letters? Do you seal the sign with anything afterwards since it's an exterior sign or is the Behr "exterior" paint enough?
How do you paint the lettering?
EXCELLENT VIDEO... but the background music was a little too loud and fast... making it hard to hear you at times. We don't need to background noises... We just want to HEAR YOU TALK. Thank you so much for sharing this great video.
I did not miss a single word due to background music. In fact, didn't even hear it until I read this comment at 22+ minutes.
Agreed. Very hard for the hearing impaired as other noises make it even harder to understand words.

Love this video... WOW... Y'all do a great job... Question: 14:14 ... What is the FONT that says Custom Sign Fabrication? Is that University Roman?
I'd like to see a video showing how strong this foam is at different densities and what kind of damage it can withstand.
YES... I would like to SEE that too.
Would epoxy resin stick to it. If I were to use to make a custom mold?
Thanks for sharing. Are you using any special bit? Or I can use 2 flute compression bit? Thx
Thanks for sharing. Do you have stores near DC area? Thanks.
What density do you recommend for an outside sign
I would love to know that too...
IN the TITLE... it says 15 pound CORAFORM
How does your hdu compare with basswood for hand carving ???
Can you paint with 1shot enamel on this board ??
He mentioned using OneShot in the vid but wanted to keep it simple and all water based just for this video.
what type/grit sand are you using & at what pressure?
Where can I find that font?
Looks awesome!
What are the speed and feed rates used for this density?
Nice Team,Fantastic video tutorial.Really cool instrctions. But what brand or Router or Lase r use? and what files use? Please keep Up ,fenomenal video.Trust me.Thank you
Hello - this is an SCM CNC router! Thank you for the kind words.
Amazing! How do you match your paint colors? It seams like you are using automotive paint. Is that correct?
Hi Mark - this is the Matthews Paint Company system paint line, and it is very similar to automotive grade. You can see more information at: matthewspaint.com/Home.aspx.
@@DUNAUSA thanks!
Very nice. I am a retired furniture maker. Recently I finnished building a 2x4 foot cnc router but it is in a spare bedroom haha. I do have brother and freind looking to pivot in this economic climate. A finnisher and a woodworker. I am working on my vectric aspire and it is great autocad too. I was trying to pull together all my thoughts and you guys solidified them.
Restore the old truck
Use your foam all the time, it is very excellent. TIP I use dixie cups and popsickle sticks to mix up small batches of bondo. the cup contains the bondo and makes quick mixes truly quick. for larger batches use a larger cup but instead of a popsickle stick use the larger tongue depressor stick. you can also spread small amounts with a tongue depressor by flattening one end on a beltsander. Ill flatten about forty at a time and put them in a coffee can. After use chuck them directly in the trash can. I noticed you guys are still using plastic gun cups, what a pain in the butt. I use the 3m PPS system which is resealable for future use and when your done your done just toss in the waste paint container. I can load up five or six colors with the PPS system and just plug in different colors as needed when doing artwork .Using PPS allows you to clean a gun using Acetone in about five minutes using a squeeze bottle with a nozzle. You should also consider ditching those air DAs, they are dinosours, everybodys going to the new variable speed electric hook loop variety DA that allows quick changes between grits and eliminates the bulky hoses.
Thanks for the compliment! Also, we appreciate the tips. Much appreciated.
Nice video. I will have to try those bits.
Excellent work as usual guys! I love using Corafoam, but as I've mentioned to Brad at the shows - it's tough to get in the Northeast. Hopefully they keep pushing to get suppliers up here to stock it.
John - thank you for the kind words! We are going to be releasing another video in a month or two with water-based paints, applied with brush + roller.
@@DUNAUSA Excellent. I've been using Nova Color acrylics on HDU for a couple years now.
John - could you please send our Northeast Rep. Hugh, an email? We can connect you with a stocking distributor in the northeast - Hugh.mccusker@dunagroup.com
It's a good video if you have a paint booth which isn't realistic for doing a foam or mdf sign every two years or so
Hi William - thank you very much for the feedback! We actually completely agree. Our next video will be featuring water-based paints, applied with brush and rollers for this very reason. Look for it in a month or two!
@@DUNAUSA Been slowly but sure going to water based love not solvents for cleaning, Love Ronins Aqua leaf

what finishes can be applied to this? dose it need primer?
Beautifully done... ... but once again... talk ... talk... talk... Please SHOW how it is done!!!
Great information... ... but that is all this was. Please next time SHOW us what you mean... You can talk all day, and I or others will not know what you're talking about... "Show don't' (just) tell".
Hi Ben, this board was cut using the LMT Onsrud 52-707 1/4" solid carbide upcut O flute cutting bit.
What cutting bit are you using for this board?
