your main argument being jones beats tom bc jones beat stipe is kind of ridiculous. jon jones only job is fighting. it all he does. so for jon who’s the “goat” to need 3 rounds to beat a 42 year old coming off a 4 year layoff who’s is maybe half as skilled as bones is a bad look on jon. stipe didn’t even completely stop fire fighting in his training camp. which shows, mma isn’t his main drive. it definitely wasn’t these past 4 years like it has been with jon’s. aspinall is not only bigger, but faster than jon. he’s been doing jits since he was a kid and has the shortest average fight time in ufc history. aspinall cleared out half of the heavyweight top 10 in the same amount of time it took jones to finish 42 year old stipe who only showed for a paycheck.

Funny guy, jones fans always have a great sense of humor. The only reason he's undefeated is because he only fights champions and fighters older than him.

He is a gifted and talented individual but everyone should've known that it would play out like this. He's definitely one of the best strikers in heavyweight mma history but he's also one of if not the most one dimensional fighter to compete in the UFC's zuffa era. He did pretty damn good for a guy who was already in his thirties when he began training mma. The only guys that I can think of who did that with great success were all grapplers and grappling progression typically take longer for the taller guys from what I've seen as well so as much as I wanted to see him succeed I knew he had his work cut out for him so I didn't get my hopes up too much.
