Beautiful bag! Do you think it would also work with T shirt yarn?

I'm pretty pissed. I get how to do this but it's the beginning chains that are STILL too tight even after trying a second time, that it's still bunching up my work. I'm using cotton yarn.

I just love the simplicity of this bag pattern, and particularly the cord strap. Joining of the strap at the very end has me terrified. It looks so complicated and I’m not sure I could follow it.

NOT a magic ring. Slip knot. Never make a magic ring at the beginning of a chain. The entire piece will fall apart.

So just verifying, this is moss stitch, right? I'm 99.9% sure that's what it is, it just looks different with acrylic yarn than the polyester rope/yarn.
