Im in this weird spot where i only know rhythm and chords, and single notes and soloing seem like hydrographics. Also, i suck holding a pick like hitting strings way too hard.

Hi Lee thanks so much for the detailed lesson! I have been playing guitar for 50 years bass and rhythm and always wanted to learn blues lead. I was always floundering around with no direction. With you I can learn to bend notes and know WHERE to go when I take a lead. I usually am a solo easy listening acoustic performer and don't play lead at all. This was my first lesson with you and I will be looking forward to playing some leads in the future with my mates. Thanks for all you do.

that's why I'm buying a telecaster, i had some noise coming out of a new Stratocaster's bridge, so had to return it.

Why didn't you show a screen shot of your settings. I think we could find that useful. The second tone you came up with sounded great.

My thing is, I practice songs but I also have an isolated practice time to technique and timing. The thing about it is it’s repetitive. No matter what back track I use it’s still annoying because it’s usually hard and I have to slow it down so much it’s boring

If you struggle to use arpeggios in your solos, start using these three exercises in your daily practice to put them on autopilot!

One thing. Bend your fingers not your wrist. Keep the wrist straight. This will keep you from getting carpal tunnel. And will build strength in fingers.

This was very good. A great refresher course and I did learn some new stuff too.

honestly so useful. I didn't understand building chords when i played keyboard. I came to guitar and learned the most "useful" chords, open ones and different barre chords and had a go at some triad inversions but this video made everything click for me. Like over the last couple years I'd picked up the whole numbers of the scale being progressions and using the circle of fifths to build progressions but now you just made everything click all the stuff I was being told about piano finally makes sense and it's been applied to the instrument I actually use daily. Will probably need to go through the video again and then go off and my own and see how it relates in other keys to solidify it, but holy shit you just showed me exactly what I needed man!
