    I wish I could bowl like this but all the lanes in the UK have the ball returns on the approach, so you just cannot stand that far left unless you basically have a 2 step approach

    It seems like they all drift left (right for Yesper) on the step right before they do the little skip step. Is this to clear the hips and open up room for the swing, sort of like the overstep for a one handed bowler?

    Does your left hand apply spin to the ball when the right hand is releasing the ball? That's something I can't really discern from watching a video of him slowly releasing the ball.

    • @OrigamiBrandon
      @OrigamiBrandon 5 лет назад

      While the approach is 2 hand, the actual release is really just 1, so answer is nah your left hand is merely acting as a support

    • @ysccl
      @ysccl 5 лет назад

      The left hand guides the ball back, and once you’re halfway through the release the left hand comes off and the right hand pushes the ball forward.

    • @ericpadilla2454
      @ericpadilla2454 2 года назад

      @@ysccl this is a lie. Both hands are on the ball until the point of release in which the support hand merely flys off while the other hand causes the release. I dont know any two hander that releases their support hand half way through the swing

    • @ysccl
      @ysccl 2 года назад

      @@ericpadilla2454 O shit I might’ve worded it wrong oops By halfway I meant the bottommost point of the swing, that’s usually where I release my left hand. I can see where you’re coming from though. good catch, cause I included the throw itself to be a part of the swing

    • @ericpadilla2454
      @ericpadilla2454 2 года назад

      @@ysccl lol no biggie. Just didnt want to see first timers trying to release half way through their swing by reading our comments on here 🤣

      Tried today for the first time, very difficult but started to get a small grip on how to do it. I will try more, never know if it can come in handy. =) Btw, I guess I was more like simonsen (style wise, not accuracy) but even a bit slower. Now I feel my back and legs got a workout as I am 40 years old. =)

    • @robertmackeyjr3369
      @robertmackeyjr3369 5 лет назад

      Best way to learn is start from the basics, and thats the steps. If you watch the 5 step by Belmo you can map out where your feet should be on the lane by using cones. This also applys to one handed as well. Once you get the feet down the swing should become natural since its all gravity.
