You seem to be living in the UK. I expect that is part of the problem. I have never seen a housing crisis like in the UK. People in their 40s, sharing a home with 7 Nigerians they never met before. People paying 1000s to live near stabbing and rain, when you could go to Spain and pay 400 for a 4 room home near the beach. Also the UK is cold, so all the pot heads want to go smoke inside. Not a place to be in the renting business, specially with wall to wall carpet.

Sorry, but all those people you just mentioned are also involved in actual owners when buying houses/renovations. Landlords are just there to scam standaed people by paying double or triple mortgage costs.
