Welcome to the Riverside Reptiles Education Center RUclips channel!
I first started this business as Riverside Reptiles in 2003. Fast forward to 2019, I found the building that is now home to our Center. Our grand opening was October 3rd, 2020. With over 10,000 square feet of environmental design, we will definitely have something for everyone. RREC is currently home to over 200 animals and we are looking forward to sharing these unique animals with the public and now here on our RUclips channel. Thank you for providing us with your support, suggestions, and love of reptiles and amphibians.

Atlantic Coast Leopard Frogs & More!
Come with me, as my son Luke and I search for one of the rarest frogs in Connecticut! There are only a few known populations of the Atlantic Coast Leopard Frog (Lithobates kauffeldi) in the state. Afterwards we go in search of copperheads and find a welcomed surprise!

Let’s meet Neobarrettia spinosa! Also known as the Greater Arid-Land Katydid. The species is form the american southwest and Mexico. Unlike the herbivorous True Katydids, this species prefers flesh! It feeds mainly on other invertebrates, but it is large enough to take a small lizard, snake, or frog. #greateraridlandkatydid #neobarrettiaspinosa #katydid #grasshopper #insects #invertebrates

Eggs rescued from a fatally injured turtle are hatching! On May 28, 2024 an injured female Eastern Painted Turtle was brought to me in hopes that I could save her. She was crossing the road to find a safe place to lay her eggs when she was struck by a vehicle. Unfortunately her injuries were too severe and I could not save her life, but I was able to save five of her eggs. On August 18th, the e...

How to remove a snake from a sticky glue mouse trap
That's a cool snake hey mind if I have the last snake that looks pretty cool
Awesome video, thanks a lot!
Love it!! What a great day out in nature
Thanks! I do not get out nearly enough anymore (I need to change that).
So beautiful 😻
What about a sunbeam snake, I really want one and I'm thinking about getting one when I move out but there aren't many videos on how to care for them
Sunbeam Snakes are not exceptionally difficult to care for, but I would not recommend them for a beginner. They require very high humidity, and they are a burrowing species, so many keepers rarely see them. Also, although you might occasionally see captive bred Sunbeam Snakes, the majority of them are wild caught and can be tough to acclimate to captivity. This species also can be defensive when handled, especially wild caught ones. If you like iridescent snakes, look into Rainbow Boas. Rainbow Boas are much easier to care for, but of course do your research first.
@@riversidereptileseducation6453 tysm, Ill definitely look into other types of sunbeam colored snakes and maybe I'll get one when I'm not a beginner anymore, tyyy
Seems like everybody who shows off live animals suddenly become Italian.
Love this!! Can’t wait to see her ❤️🤘🏻
I have a corn snake a leopard gecko and a dog and a fish and a cat and a ballpithon and a lavender hognose snake
What about Hognose?
Corn snakes are fantastic
No exotic animal is a beginner animal these snakes especially ball pythons can live more then 30 years and need strict enclosure requirements there lives depend on you as Keeper, they are not "beginner" they can be really difficult at times especially for people that dont knwo what they are doing, if yiu cant keep humidity dont pet a ball python it needs 60%+ humidity if not thye get infections.. just get the animal you want, just make sure you are well educated in the species you are getting
The snakes mentioned in this video are far more easier to care for than than other species of snakes, thus I labeled them as "beginner species". For example: there is a huge difference in caring a Ball Python vs a Boelen's Python. These are just recommendations from my professional experience. If you do not know what your doing, you shouldn't have purchased the animal in the first place, so yes research is a must if you are going to give this animal a good life.
Eastern Brown Snakes are also good starters
I have a python is only one He’s my first snake
I don't understand why recommend ball pythons as a beginner snake. There require high humidity, a very large enclosure, frequently go on hunger strikes and can be picky eaters. There are honestly so many species of snakes that are better for beginners.
Did.. did she just eat a mealworm out of ur hair?
I don't have any hair ;)
Nah, wrong order. Balls are easier than other 2
I got a small snake which litt just almost jumped off my bed
How about the boomslang?
It's so pretty 😮
I neeeeeed the corn snake
Nope nope nope nope
Black momba
Ball pythons don't feed good king snakes like to bite corn snake is the only beginner snake
If you beginner can you have a snow corn snake
Corn snakes are the ultimate snakes forget those other guys
I Choose Ball Pythons
🎉❤❤🎉
I have a ball python

Corns and Kings are fantastic first pet snakes! 🐍
#worthriskinglifetimedamage
Corn or milk snake are good
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Pretty
He’s so cute! Black throats are one of my dream pets
What a beautiful spider man!! I had a Rose Haired for years! She loved to be ON me, held...sometimes, but her favorite perch was on my left shoulder, she would sit there like a parrot for hours!
are thay blind?
No they are not blind, although their eyesight is not great. Tarantulas rely more on other senses, especially their hair which detects air movement and subtle vibrations.
Can you do giant snakes as pets
i have the corn snake
Their so cute omg! My best friend would love this!☺️☺️☺️
Sorry about the mom and the unfortunate one but Congratulations on the surviving babies!
Thanks! It was such a great feeling to see them hatch.
That’s a mature male
Metallica is a pretty chill T even though males can be a bit more defensive than females 😌 👌
Why,for feeding an animal that he takes care of? Just because a particular animal eats other animals, doesn't make it less of a living, breathing being.
Gorgeous 🕷
This species has a terrible bite, but for all intents and purposes is very docile. Most spiders have zero desire to bite a human. Thanks for dispelling the myth. Definitely a male.
We ur audience want to see u handle an Inland Taipan, a Malaysian king cobra and black mamba. That would be interesting
