The Yappy Dog
This story is an innovation on an old Playschool story (acknowledged in video), where the noun groups, plot and characters have been changed, yet students are scaffolded by the rhyme and the rhythm of the text. Rhythm patterns are added using Orff instruments and there is scope for students to add their own words and sound effects in-class; making the story their own.
