Weehawken Road
Великобритания
Добавлен 23 авг 2009
A large scale ( 1/29) model railroad based on Weehawken New Jersey in the late 1950's with first generation diesels and some steam , featuring a scenic area in a shed, with a large double dog bone garden section, giving a total run distance of around 200 yards, running dead rail with remote controlled locos.

g scale BUDD RDC rebuild, large scale 1/29
Просмотров 647 часов назад
A long drawn out project using pvc and cheap figures to improve the look of the Aristocraft RDC. I fitted a REVO control unit replacing the fobb control and also fitted scale wheels , just waiting for the decals to arrive from K4 decals USA. Apologies for the sound in some parts and the camera's struggling to focus

Nice garden rail. 👍 Love the background birdsong.
thanks am retired now so hope to get more use from the railway when its not raining
Very cool. Slow and go... nice terrain.
thanks bit of headscratching to work out
So realistic.
Is that G scale?
Nice outside layout.
thanks all gone now but the new railrod is almost ten years old , thanks for the sub
Very cool
cheers its still rumbling away after all these years
I really like what I'm seeing here!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
cheers
Wow! Love it! "All the better to hear you with, my dear" - to quote Little Red Riding Hood! 🤣😂🤣
You've done an amazing job creating this layout. I wish I lived next door I'd grant you an easement to run more right of way thru my backyard!!! The NYC equipment on your roster is excellent.
thanks John, still lots to do, more time to do it ,
Great job!! That NYC 44 tonner is an eye catcher!!!
Beautiful work on the construction of the right of way. When I look at the train it's hard to imagine these are 1:29 scale cars being a 1:87 scale modeler myself. They look great especially with subtle weathering and knuckle couplers.
thanks John, I laid the track onto electricians cable tray took a while to work out the grades, 60ft trains are the max but the yard gives me 500 yards of running, looks double but its just a folded double dog bone , takes a train about tem minutes to return to the starting point the shed is only 20ft long and it gives a place for some switching. I like your idea of virtual running has given me some ideas cheers and enjoy .
I love the New York Central and this train and outdoor setting is awesome. I look forward to catching up with your other videos especially the lightning striped center cab!!
Cheers John just need to put some new drive gears in the centre cab as they are stripped, due to having traction tyres fitted.
@@peteshoulders1 Your 1:29 scale model imitates my 1:87 scale Bachmann 44 tonner. I've replaced the axles and gears twice now. Hope you have better luck!!!
It’s nice to see not everyone has lost the old skills.
Thanks Terry, needs must sometimes, time rich cash poor,
@@peteshoulders1 yessss. Isn’t that the case for most of us.
Lovely garden railway. I use an elevated line because in a few years we’ll be moving. My poor steam engine in the video you saw doesn’t have traction tires of course. Look at the ease to which your loco pulls that load. Nice.
I took allthe traction tyres off as they were causing the drive gears to crack when trains slowed down, so everything is now metal to metal.
@@peteshoulders1 fantastic! I dislike traction tires. When I pulled all my G scale cars with my 0-6-0 live steamer the only trouble I had really was starting off without slippage. I can’t get the wheels of my engine to start off very slow. Well, not as slow as an electric train.
@@Terrys-Steam-and-Cobi I have the same loco and has the same problem or not, even with the R/C unit it races at start then settles down cant get a slow start except in reverse, and it runs better backwards humm.
@@peteshoulders1 I had a live steamer that ran better backward. By far. I decided to take it apart to see If I could notice anything. So I took it apart and did not see any reason why it should be like that. I put it back together and to my astonishment it now runs as well in forward as it does in reverse! Lol. I have no idea what I did!
Love your layout. I want one 😂
thank you if your in Redruth anytome pay a visit
Nice train.
thank you
Those usa trains cars look amazing behind the E8's Awesome train love the video 😎👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cheers Dave, i had not realised how flexible the flex track is, but the whole train is really heavy
Cheers Dave
Love your layout
Thank you for that , just waiting for better weather to run more often
Amazing 😀👏
Thanks for the visit
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice upload you put together thanks for sharing.
Thanks will get the hang of multiii tasking soon ( I hope)🤔
@@peteshoulders1 Pete thanks very much for replying to my comment. It's nice to see other people's work to get idea to improve my Channel. Take care & stay safe.
Amazing video.. that corner is great for rail-fans.. Looks like NYC is working hard on your layout.. there making the money with Awesome passenger trains and big freight. Love this video 😎👍
Thanks Dave, it was a great day for running, hopefully more soon, cheers
NH Fa1 looks awesome!! Scale coupler on the front makes a huge difference! Lowered too?
Thanks I use #1 Kadees on the short stock with G scale at the rear end, and yes it was lowered by 10 mm on the trucks and also I fit my own scale wheels that I had made at a local factory to order, these fit the more recent taper axles and have scale flanges that work fine on all types of track , the loco also only has one powered truck and copes ok with the gradient.
Very nice 😎👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Sorry about the sound quality I think I had my thumb over the mic!!!
Great Lionel large scale those are rare
Thanks I had about fourteen of these as a job lot, only got this one left now, when next to an Aristocraft car they look short .
Awesome Pete we have a lot of the same engine's and rolling stock.. I'm excited for your run video 👍😎
Thanks 👍
It may be freezing, but you have a lot more green stuff growing than I've seen in months :) Great call on the AML 0-6-0, I've never seen one that didn't run amazingly well! Nice collection in general and creative storage ideas! Love it!
cheers its raining again so will probably freeze over tonight
Nicely done! Love the repurposed materials for your elevated sections. I've been eyeing those stage trusses for a long time, but haven't found a deal yet. Great looking ground level track and neat idea going through the back of the green house on 2 levels!
Thanks I retired in October last year and it has rained every day since then, I still got a lot to do but on a tight budget makes some interesting challenges,
I love onboard train views
Thanks I am struggling to get my head around using this far too complicated camera
@@peteshoulders1 I usually find ways to rig my iPhone onto trains. I find it simple to use. I have a complicated canon but have not used the video feature for trains yet.
Hi Peteshoulders1, thanks for the sub i have subscribed back layout looks great stay safe all the best TONY [ GRIFFIN STATION ].

Nice video. Thanks for subbing, as I have subbed back! Bob...
I like the track level eye view. It makes the models look real!
+grumpusone thanks for looking all the railway is gone now but a new one is coming soon
What an awesome railway, pitty its gone. Jon
This one is the last one I will build outside just need to win the lottery for the next one cheers
What a layout. Looks full scale.
thanks Peter, that layout is gone now as I moved about three years ago so all torn down but my new railway is almost ready to run and boasts a shed to keep the stock in when not in use , I enjoyed the video of the tramway sorry to hear its not running , for a few years I was the tramway technician at Beamish so had a taste of overhead wire work and the workings of drum controllers , I got an Aristocraft PCC this year so still have an interest in trollies best regards Pete
Thanks for sub.Love your Railway. Jon.

Thanks for the sub. Nice to see videos of your trains.
