With AGM batteries. It's recommended that you are using an AGM profile charger that has an amperage capacity of 10% of the battery AH capacity. 75ah = 7.5amps ,100ah = 10amps. You don't have to do it all the time but it's recommended for battery life to fully change with the appropriate charger about once every month , this will help the cells stay in the best condition. And the time needed on the charger is the same as the amps required. 7.5amps = 7.5 hrs . Most new multi processor charges are good at looking after the battery once the battery has completed taking charge. Solar panels system and DC/DC work when they are putting in the required amount of Amps and they won't damage a AGM as long as they are using the correct profile .but this is also a problem with not having A constant amount of Amps for the duration needed for a full charge. Basically top up charging works but a proper full charge keeps it in better shape.

Great information and instruction. Many thanks indeed! I think I'd extend the pressure switch wiring before starting the installation, so great to know of this issue. I'm still debating whether to get the ARB compressor rather than my portable which I keep in the 2nd row footwell.

Adblue tank, still has DPF, heavier and still has little 2.8l motor, no thanks.

The 60kg weight limit is a point load limit for the cover only, think of it as a “NO STEP” zone, similar to aircraft.

60kg load limit is only for that box for 7 seater, read the manual.

I was told by Toyota salesperson 60kg load limit on the rear floor of the 5 seat models. My dog weighs that! 🙈

Do you know if the ridgemount system can replace stock roof rails and if it's worthwhile doing that, rather than keeping the stock rails and mounting the tray that way?

The boot in the 7 seat models looks like it already has the same space taken up that a set of draw sliders would and then some, I hope the next iteration finds a stealthier spot to hide the battery. Also not so sure about having a lithium ion battery pack inside the cabin, Jeep tried that and it was a disaster.

I had a deposit on one and decided to get the deposit back. Toyo are takin' the mickey As much as it hurts to say. Sold my legendary 2010 Prado (350000 k's) and bought a 2015 Toureg with bugger all K's and all the bells and whistles..... for $25000. Certainly cheaper than spending $90000 on a new Prado with still less tech and an underpowered engine.

Having lived overseas for a while I start to notice the Aussie whinging. Instead of trying to explain technical compromises and trade-offs, it’s just a straight negative, without thought for what positive was gained, or what constraints forced the hand. I’ve watched the Japanese engineering videos from Toyota, they optimized this to the millimeter and gram to give the best possible performance and practicality within emissions regulations set by governments (not by them). It’s getting very hard to meet emissions (and consumer consumption expectations) without simply reducing the size and strength of the car. Cost is driven up by ever increasing emissions and safety tech, plus consumer demand for tech and comfort features.

Drove the Altitude , let me tell you this 250 model is quicker and much, much nicer to drive then the 150. Absolute beast. P.S I currently own a 150 model.

Always had a Prado but this new version has become more of a soccer mum car , tiny fuel tank , little room in the back and an underpowered engine in my opinion.

To add a draw system in the rear and a fridge slide, there might have to be corner anchor points that forms a cross bar frame that takes the increased weight of the 60kg limit?? Maybe??
