J K Yoga Kirtana, A Graded artist of AIR, Bangalore, hails from a literary & musical family and is the granddaughter of Prof. Veturi Anandamurthy, an eminent Telugu Scholar and researcher and the daughter of eminent Veena Vidushi Yoga Vandana. Presently, under advanced training in Carnatic Classical vocal music under the noted Senior Musician, Sangeetha Kalacharya Vidushi Smt. Neela Ramagopal for the past 10 years. Previously, learnt from Vidushi Smt P. Ramaa, an eminent vocalist from Karnataka.
Received the “Best Individual Performer” award from the Music Academy, Chennai for her performance in the Radel mid-year concert series - Jan 2018.
Won the All India Radio competition in December 2013 and has been awarded “B Grade”
Awarded the Bharath Ratna M S Subbalakshmi Fellowship in Music by the prestigious Shanmukhananda Sabha, Bombay - September 2014 to September 2016
Received the prestigious “Tambura award” from Gayathri Sanmandali Sangeetha Sabha, Guntur in March 2016.
