Pardon me, id like to see a side by side of imperial swordsmen and halberdiers, to see who has better staying power when fighting various infantry units of chaos, norsca and orcs. I basically want to see who holds the line better and gives me more time for hammer and anvil

It's so funny to me that it takes 5 minutes for these two units to have one of them rout/die. Meanwhile every time my spearmen face basic orcs they rout immediately.

shields are OP in ranged battles. now put them in melee.

this is the least suprising one yet, death runners couldnt beat peasant archers in melee

This is a mismatch. Numidian and Armenian legionaries are copies of Hastati. Seleucid Silver Shields are copies of legionary cohorts.

I'm aware of all the elven buffs with dodge and anti infantry but man it sucks to see how differently halberdiers work than in older games. I wish they were just a little better against regular infantry, especially when they don't have shields

Yeah, there were just more muskets shooting vs. the sherwood archers, which means they landed more hits and killed them faster. This unit is fun, but should only be used in ambushes to hit the sides. It doesn't work in a one vs one
