Cool video, I love my NP passport. I even stamp state park stamps (cancellations) on the additional pages in the back. A tip I learned is to ask any park, rec. area, etc.. Employee for a stamp. Even if not affiliated with the passport program they sometimes keep custom stamps for people who ask.

I had already moved from Boston before WBCN when off the air but I so remember being a teenager/young adult listening to it. The best station ever!!!

What a comedy of errors, none of the microphones can pick up Jason's voice properly, then once they finally get a bare minimum of clarity, some thoughtless twit decides to plonk themselves down in front of someone obviously recording the interview. Next time, sit at the front, buddy lol.

I remember driving down the road one day and the WBCN'S DJ had just announced the death of John Bonham. The thing the DJ could say was the word *S H I T.* Before they cranked a Led Zep tune. It was the 1st time I heard a swear word on the radio

Funny the last 3 words ( over and out) were the same last 3 words of the last show on WBRU in Providence. Both stations kind or rivalled each otther

WBCN would eventually move to WBZ-FM HD2. The old 104.1 frequency is now occupied by WBMX (hot AC), which moved from 98.5 FM.

I used to crank that station in my car when I was back home.

At least they ended it with one of my favorite songs ever... Doesn't make much sense why they completely killed it off.

I felt very empty and sad that night..it was like a death..wbcn exposed me to such great music growing up. shaping many of us.

I had the random luck of getting to do sound for this show. One of the best days of work in my life second only to the show Reggie did the next day, Disinformation. Guy is a genius.

This is why we can't have nice things, CBS Radio.
