A Reenactor's Bedroom: History Bounder's Life and Style
I'm someone who tries to replicate life much like it was 100 years ago. That's my "scene" as moderns may call it. As time goes on, I find myself using less modern stuff and more antique in every aspect of my life. All of my antiques get used, and my daily style incorporates historic charm to keep the past alive even outside of the re-enactments I do.
This is what my bedroom looks like on any given day as part of my historic themed life as one who seems to live in another era. No special treatment, organization, or cleaning. Just my pure authentic room to match my pure, authentic style as I like to be. This is my element. If you'd like a video detailing something specific, I'm more than hap...

Reading a Letter From a Cowboy on the Range in 1907
Просмотров 23День назад
Here is a touching letter written by a cowboy in Wyoming in 1907 to his Sunday school teacher he promised years before to write to. A bit depressed, he laments his life choices and despairs that it's too late to change. I wish I had her response to him as I'm sure it was encouraging and faithful with all salvific cheer.
1880s Letters Promoting Westward Expansion

While detailed for riveting content, these two short letterheads do give insight into the westward expansion, in this case toward tornado central, as Northern farmers seek cheap land gains in a distant place full of romance and potential.
Window to the Past: Letter from an Edwardian Child Writing to Pen Pal

Though simplistic and short, this child had what it took to set a scene perfectly in as few words as possible. I couldn't be much more thrilled with the picture he paints.

I have a pot for sale . It have been for more than 250 years
I have no clue how I landed here but this was such an interesting little video! What a nice letter, thank you for sharing it~
you remind me of my favourite professors, i really really enjoyed this :)
He seens like he was so sweet!
Wow, the thumb print!!!! What a great find.
They do great work, always ended up with good products from them.
Nice video- would be much better if I could HEAR it. I suspect those cotton brocades were cut from old curtains or table covers.
I use a pump sprayer to wet the plaster .
How much is it worth?
2:13 to just see, without waiting for unboxing
How did the damn ice cream turn out!?
nailed it 😎
Very cool but eating that forbidden seasoning could kill you, I think you need to do a full restoration or build one from scratch if you're going to consume the product
Or just the same type of nail they crucified everybody with
I have worked with potters who use old methods to fire pottery, the degree of vitrification depends on the temperature of the pit fire. unfortunately during the craze for Han pottery the forgers buried pieces with plants that had aggressive rooting to fake root marking on surfaces. I'm just saying that your tests are OK if you have an idea of how the work was made and where it came from. What we really need is a good $25.00 TL test. Be well. John Boyce
Renaissance wax is a must in order to protect them properly. I have used several cans on different materials during the years.
One of Jacob Rees-Mogg's cast offs?
Best wishes on all the finds necessary to complete your ensemble. May the hat fit soon🤞
I'm not sure why this video showed up in my feed, but thats cool man. keep on keepin on! ancient pottery is cool.
Looks like an early sort of Dry Cell Battery Power Supply Pack.
Was there last fall...and I highly recommend it.
I enjoyed your video. Nice collection & display. I wonder if these tests work on a ceramic that’s been underwater rather than buried. For instance, on a pot, half-covered in sea encrustation.
I too have same and want to sell it
The glasses look great on you! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m surprised they were willing to touch your antique glasses, as I think most places would fear them breaking them.
Nice video but I wish you would have told the age of each.
Thanks for sharing your amazing collection. It touches my heart when I think of Mary anointing her beloved Son with oils. When Christ was born, Myrrh was used to slow bleeding so it makes sense that Myrrh was gifted to Mother Mary at the birth of Christ.
Why is an ancient relic in your possession? Give it back to my country airchaeocapill
He bought it. Money talks, boolsheet walks.
I realized I forgot to mention the demotic script bowl on the top shelf . It's from the 600s to 800s CE and is an incantation bowl used to capture or ward off evil spirits in the Levant. Common in ancient Israel by the superstitious.
I was there with my daughter a few months ago. The best part of our trip!
Wow they're beautiful and suit you so well. I'm researching if we have the equivalent in the UK as my lenses alone cost £250 and i love collecting vintage frames. Thank you for your review...Have you seen the film 'The wings of a dove' starring Helena Bonham Carter? Its a must watch for Edwardian era fans 😀
I went here for my 8th grade field trip this year it the most real thing I ever experience and I live a bout 1 mile from this
Thank you for sharing your collection. All so beautiful and interesting.
Thanks for the information, I’m came cross two pots that seems to pass the test..: what do you suggest I can do with them? ( Ancient Greek/ Cyprus)
*PromoSM* 💐
Ah the voice acting. This stuff is the best kind of nerdy. So cool
So painfully true, and what they charge is absolutely absurd considering what it takes for them to accomplish what they actually accomplish for users. Their value truly is "mindshare" above all. Big market, many eyes. Hecc I can't actually name any alternatives off-hand
