Sir/Madam I need piece of advice from you or anyone interested to share advice. Divorced between myself and my ex-wife conducted in Canada a couple months ago without my presence (when I was outside of Canada, and still, I am not in Canada). I remember she sent me 3 pieces of cards via her relative and I signed and giver back and after few months I saw my ex-wife wedding in fb and close family of her told me that she got married to another man. My point is I did not get a divorced confirmation document from her/the court. How can I get the divorced document? And whom do I ask, my ex-wife or the court/lawyer. But I don’t to which court/lawyer to ask because when I back to Canada I don’t want to live the city where she is located. I require some advice/guidelines to get my divorce documents to live proper life in Canada. Thank you!

You seem to have a lot of common sense. Why don’t you pioneer changes in the legal system . The system currently sucks and it’s not about justice just procedural bullshit. In my opinion mandatory meditation should be the first thing in any litigation. How about capping lawyer fees too.

When some defence lawyers know they won't be successful at defending their client to a favourable outcome they become personal to the case. NOT for their client but to their own ego of wins and losses. They took on a case and got so far into it on the belief of their clients story or their clients had the ability to manipulate them into defending them even when they had noticed red flags or realized the evidence was not in their clients favour. Sometimes its because of their clients ability to manipulate the facts or disparage the character of the plaintiff(s) and they make gross miscalculations of the plaintiff's resolve or evidence. Instead of admitting defeat they resort to stall tactics and ridiculous measures to thwart the plaintiffs. Some will use false but plausible reasoning to delay the case at every corner at first but eventually their clients reasons for delay have been exhausted. In order to save face they damage their own reputations by making up excuses last minute of why they themselves as counsel cannot attend examinations or exchange files etc to further stall proceedings. These excuses run out quickly as well. So now motions of non attendance or to compel have to be instigated at further costly measures to the plaintiff and the courts both in time and money. When this happens the reasons for the repetitive delays will be brought forth at the motions by the plaintiffs counsel which will likely have a negative affect on the defence counsels reputation. Defence counsel has as much responsibility to move the case along at a reasonable pace as much as the plaintiff counsel does. The lack of their clients evidence or failure to supply evidence that would secure a favourable outcome for themselves falls at the feet of the client. When the evidence does not create or support a strong case Defence counsel should feel compelled to advise their client to bring about the final stages of the case for everyones best interest. Resorting to ridiculous and reputation damaging stall tactics by client and counsel seems pointless when its entirely based on the belief that the will of the plaintiff will be diminished and eventually give up from the frustration. Never under estimate the plaintiffs cause or means. Stalling the proceedings makes even less sense when prolonging discovery and obtaining the plaintiffs evidence may help the defendants case. Once the discovery is obtained a decision can be based on all the evidence and a determination can be made.To resort to tactics unbecoming is the result of either ego or money and a stoop too low. A good defence lawyer will advise their client to stop the shenanigans if their case is not winnable and advocate for the best result for them at negotiations. And likewise for the plaintiff(s). Frivolous cases need to end but prolonged and unnecessary delays by defendant's and /or their counsel needs to stop as well. Its very rare a plaintiff delays a case for months or years since they initiated the action to begin with. Its generally defendants who realize the case brought against them was justified and they won't peel off that bandaid quickly.

What i don't understand about legal aid is, why does legal aid fund family lawyers. Tax payers pay for legal aid , each case on average can cost up to 70000$ or more. The amount of money or taxes pay to put a man on child support, could literally just go straight to the mother with out having to do a court process. So basically skip the court system, skip tax payers paying for lawyers for mother's to put men on child support. If our tax money is being liquidated. It might aswell go to the children instead of a lawyer
