An odd kettle of fish. I tend to agree that the couple should have given into their lustful attraction and gotten it out of their systems. Her husband would have taken her back, Morton returned to Borneo and life would have gone on for all of them. No way, will Morton ever marry her.

Moronic pointless book

It is a strange thing that Socrates never wrote down his spoken words, for some reason leaving it to others..so assuming Plato's record has some truth to it.. .. now when I reflect with words from today's world it does seem that we have in fact become glib and crude and stupid of mouth..whether political philosophical or of the social media media..

Beautiful story .lt reminds l of a French man who married his dance teacher .She was 37 years older than him .She divorced her husband ,had chidren as old as her husband and like Jane Flowler looks exceedingly young and attractive .NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND THE ATTRACTION OF LOVE .Like they say ,beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder ,beauty here ,l beleive need not neccessarily be the physical self but the mystical attraction only some can see apart from the physic of the person .I must thank W.Somerset for the beautiful story ,full of humour .Thank you You Tube l thoroughly enjoyed this story .W.Somerset Maugham''s stories are gems and each story a master piece.
