It's always amazes me that so called Christians can read the word and become instantly confused if it does not align with them, I was ministering with a female friend that says she is saved, she left her first husband and married another man, when we got to Matthew 19 the bible all of a sudden became a man made book in her opinion, I would have laughed but she is a friend and I'm concerned for her spirituality. First Corinthians chapter 6 refers to adultery, but adultery doesn't negate the free gift of salvation where past, present and future sins are forgiven. The Bible teaches that the blood Jesus’ shed on the cross covers all sin, including infidelity, and adultery. “… the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). This means that any sin we commit, including murder, can be forgiven when we come to Jesus with a repentant heart. Beloved be careful listening to these legalistic preachers when they try to tell you that the blood of Christ doesn't cover your sins because many of them, if not all of them, are guilty of the same sins that they legalistically preach against.

As Paul uses marriage as metaphor for the church (Ephesians 5:21-33); Jeremiah used the husband as metaphor for God (Isaiah 54:5; Jeremiah 3:14; 31:32) and the adulterous wife as metaphor for Israel (Jeremiah 3:8-10). God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) but He is also merciful and forgiving. God "divorced" His unfaithful wife, Israel having just cause as the faithful husband (Jeremiah 3:8-10). But after sometime God's mercy intervenes that He wanted back faithless and unfaithful Israel. God invites His people Israel to "return" to Him and promises that His anger will end (Jeremiah 3:12). God's love is stronger than His people's rebellion (Jeremiah 3:14-16). He commands them three times to return (Jeremiah 3:12, 14, 22).

It is not a true marriage if it was of man. There is the counterfeit of the devil and there is true marriage of God.

But if God did not bring the two together then surely divorce is justified. It says let no man separate what God has brought together. Remember how one of the prophets commanded the men of Israel to put away their foreign wives and children because their marriage to them was not the will of God because they were unbelievers and this contradicted the law of God saying do not marry the unbelieving daughters of the nations.

Thank you preacher for your wonderful sermon. You have brought out the truth as it is given in the Bible, however you have not touched on abandonment and abuse. These days spouses can work in different places,either abroad or even overseas. What happens when one spouse goes away and decides not to come back,both believers, both Christians, 1 year,2 years,5 years,10 years ,20 years....what should the remaining spouse do ? Apostle Paul said a wife must not depart from her husband,if she does,she must come back,what if she doesn't come back,is the husband still bound in such a marital relationship ? A spouse theatens you with death everytime you have misunderstandings, even to the extend of holding a knife at you ,must you wait until she stabs you ,for you to know that the relationship is untannable,that if one would have survived the incident.

You've obviously overlooked the issue of abandonment spoken of by Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:15

Jesus not only told us to not divorce. He referred not to the law of Moses. He referred to the original intention from Genesis two. He also told us what to do should a divorce take place. It is repeated in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11

Back when Bible was written, there was no outside marriage Online Relationship romantic relationship and Adultery in PORNOGRAPHY. Are all these adultery in our modern times? Ground for divorce? There are so many husbands and wife’s having relationships romantically thru messages and spent the family savings. Are these husbands and wives committed adultery?

If my sister husband in in love with the other woman constantly communicating day and night exchanges romantic love and sexual in messages and used family savings all wiped out to his lover and are finally going to meet in a vacation, will her husband committed Adultery? Can my sister who is so hurting due to this husband other relationship divorce him?

Never divorce. If there are serious problems in the marriage, separate for a while n separate in love, while still caring n providing for the wife n children. Seek the holy spirit. He is the best teacher n helper, jn14. Holy spirit will always find a solution n it will be the best solution. The separation will draw U nearer to one another. N with the help of the holy spirit, U will be back as husband n wife.

God hates divorce… that’s in scripture, so my question is, why do we, as the church, tell married couples that they must divorce if they want to obey the gospel if they had an “unscriptural marriage “ BEFORE coming to the Lord? So we’re really telling people to do something God has said He hates in order to be right with Him…. Makes absolutely no sense

Oh no; not a “pray-tell” guy. Best not speak according to modern day interpretation. The Greek meaning of immorality is not your clear cut interpretation. Ridiculous you say a man must endure a life of loneliness if marriage went bad early on and compare that to making one a eunuch for the kingdom of God. What about taking care of God’s temple: is this man obese? So the mite that he metes is meted back to him. As the sabbath, was marriage made for man or man for marriage? Did Jesus not say “ all cannot except this”? So stay celibate he says, and burn in passion, all because of marital blunder. How many husbands or wives need to divorce if they’ve found pornography? And which sin is not cleansed by the blood of Christ upon confession and walking in the light and having fellowship with another? And how is a contractual marriage or one of impotency adultery at all?

Wow! Go back and listen to the first part of your message about truth. Then ask yourself why you don't keep the 7th day Sabbath. You believe in God's marriage, but not God's Sabbath? Pray about it.

I was married to a person that would that would start arguments and throw scripture at me. And he really tried to put me away 6 ft under cause he always assumed i was cheating on him after he would go to a bar and drink and let his past control his mind and come home to find me breastfeeding his daughter and says God said i have to submit to him if not he can beat me up and i could not fight back. Well,.... my parents raised me to respect myself and others. In my home Mom Daddy of 53 yrs married and 8 siblings and i always served and pray together. To be a good person. To make sure before you marry to make sure that is the one. As i watched my father treating momma with respect and called her his Queen and Momma treated him as her king and my hero 🙃. Anywho Dad always told me never raise your hands at your husband as well as he never raise his hands to you. When that happens its over. I prayed for my husband when he was chocking me. I remember my worth so my reaction was to get out of my situation and grab my 2 year old and get out of my home very quick. The God i know is Cool cause he gave me the strength to live threw it and stood and embraced my 2 yr old while all this was going on. 20 yrs later she still has momma. Adultery or violence should never allow you to stay married. Know ur worth and get out of that as soon as you can. Thanks for listening 🙏
